Description I have a project it is a case study about active listening, I have to take a video of myself presenting the case, there has to be a script ready for me to read which will be around 4-5 minutes long (no plagiarism at all), and while presenting, there has to be a simple presentation in the background for the audience to look at, so basically prepare a script for me and a simple presentation so I can give the audience something to look at. Ability to use professional communication and presentation skills while conveying this information 2. Case study analysis 1. Ability to identify and explain relevant concepts 2. Ability to identify and analyse relevant issues 3. Ability to link those concepts to identified issues Ability to develop a relevant argument to address the question, based on concepts, where relevant. The task will consist of the following: 1. Video presentation ( 3 to 5min max) 2. Video presentation "script", to be submitted via Turnitin to check for originality. 2. Description An outline helps you think ahead about what you want to say and in what order you want to say it. A logical order will help you remember what you want to say. It also helps me evaluate your (1) informative organization, (2) appropriate outline format, and (3) coverage of relevant content. The outline should use brief phrases to make your points clearly but concisely. It must be grammatically correct but should not be a verbatim script of your speech; include only the detail necessary for clarity. The outline must also include APA-formatted in-text citations for all borrowed information as well as a full reference list.

Description Assignment Discussion 1: I will also send two discussion replies that will require responses for each. I will send this after the initial discussion submission answer is sent.  I Love Lucy: A Colorized Celebration - "Job Switching" clip Watch this short "I Love Lucy" clip. In it, you will see Lucy and her friend Ethel wrapping candies on an automatic assembly line.  Their job is to make sure that each candy is wrapped.  You will laugh when you see what happens as the speed increases on the line.   Think about this clip from the point of view of operations management.  This clip is much more than poor management techniques.   So - what went wrong?  What would you do to improve the process? Answer these questions with concepts from this week's readings.  Assignment Discussion 2: I will also send two discussion replies that will require 3-4 sentence responses for each. I will send this after the initial discussion submission answer is sent. (please include references) Watch the TED Talk What obligation do social media platforms have to the greater good? by Eli Pariser, a co-founder of Upworthy. He believes that we are “letting a kind of good existential crisis in Silicon Valley go to waste”. Reflecting on the Ted Talk and what you have learned this week in your Smartbook readings on social media, write three to five paragraphs summarizing what you have learned. Do you agree or disagree with what is being presented? How has unethical behavior on social media impacted businesses or high-profile professionals today? Do you think modeling social technology platforms after urban centers would reduce the unethical behaviors that have emerged?

Description CHAPTER 3 AND 4 1 = Professional training has continued to move to the virtual space. What would a virtual, interactive program for individual and organizational ethical development look like? How would you apply adult learning theory to develop a program for ethical development... as in how are you going to use the information on adult learning theory when developing your program? 2 = Read case study 4.3 (found in Chapter 4 of the textbook), then respond to the following: Describe what you think would be a positive, successful, ethical outcome of each performance review. Address the following in your description: outline what tactics could be used to improve the reviewer's ability to give feedback use emotional intelligence guidelines to analyze the reviewer's approach what immediacy behaviors might the reviewer use to improve the feedback process CHAPTER 5 AND 6 3 = What does power have to do with planning programs, and is power a more important consideration when developing ethics training? What are three to five educational needs of your organization in relation to ethics? Link these needs to organizational effectiveness. These will be included in the program you develop. 4 = Last question 3, you identified organizational learning needs in relation to ethics. You will share the first (and perhaps most important) building block of your ethics training program, the program goals and objectives. Your task is to develop one to two program goals, five to seven learning objectives, and one to two operational objectives for your program. Description Scenario You work for CON-voke, an organization that helps develop and run conventions and conferences on a variety of topics. You have been tasked with delivering the opening remarks at a conference on a topic of your own choosing. Attendees will be coming from all around the world, and your opening comments will need to welcome them to the conference, give an overview of the topic, and set the agenda for the meetings and sessions. Directions You will need to write your opening remarks, create supporting materials and visuals to enhance your presentation, and then deliver those remarks. Please note, citations are required for this project if you use resources (such as images or text). If no resources are used, they will not be required. Part 1: Conference Topic: To begin, you must choose a topic for your conference. You may choose a topic for an academic conference based on your area of study, a professional or trade event focused on your career, or a fan conference celebrating a popular genre or piece of entertainment. Read through the resources in the Supporting Materials section to learn more about each of these types of conventions to help inform your choice. The way you write your opening remarks will depend on your audience. You will want to consider the following: What style of presentation your audience will expect, given the type of conference and topic What kind of language you should use to address the audience What familiarity your audience will have with the topic Part 2: Integrate Visuals and Supporting Materials: Use the Conference Floor Plan document and Proposed Schedules document to plan your comments, and consider how you can visually present these resources during your remarks, and/or create other supporting materials to give to attendees to enhance your presentation. Consider the following: Would it be beneficial to refer to a presented graphic, or would a handout be more useful to enhance your presentation? What other materials can you create that would be useful for your presentation or help to enhance it for your audience? Speakers can use visuals to enhance their presentations Part 3: Write Your Remarks: In your remarks, you will need to succinctly present the important information that attendees will need. Detail the purpose of the conference, and introduce the main topics or themes that you expect presenters to discuss. You should also be sure to explain the pertinent details of the space, how to get around, the schedule of events, and any other important details. Your script should be approximately 1,000–1,500 words for a 10-minute presentation. Items you might consider include: Friendly introduction Topic introduction Schedule Map/orientation Thanks for coming Remarks on the topic Part 4: Practice Delivering Your Remarks: Your opening remarks should be brief, about 10 minutes. Record yourself giving the presentation as you would deliver it to attendees, complete with supporting visuals. Once you have completed this part, review your presentation and complete the Opening Remarks Reflection document in the Deliverables section to help identify areas of improvement. What to Submit Every project has a deliverable or deliverables, which are the files that must be submitted before your project can be assessed. For this project, you must submit the following: Recorded Opening Remarks Create a brief video recording of your opening remarks (1,000-1,500 words), welcoming attendees and explaining the schedule of events and other important information. Opening Remarks Reflection Reflect on your written remarks, and complete a brief questionnaire about ways to improve. This document also has questions about potential changes that could be made, depending on your audience and topic.

Description Instructions Overview Each week, you will submit a two-page journal entry on a topic defined by your instructor (see the following). These assignments are called journal entries because they require you to become self-aware, take a look at yourself and your relationships, and define a clear action plan for improvement. These entries are private.   Journal This journal entry requires you to draw on your insights and your powers of observation with family members, friends and/or coworkers to describe examples of nonlistening. This is a different observation experiment from the discussion board and there are some similarities in that you will set the scene. In this assignment, you will explore various types of nonlistening whether it is with your family or even a work situation, and could be extended to a virtual situation such as a zoom call.   Students can use one family gathering or multiple instances where nonlistening is present and real-life examples need to have details. As in the discussion board assignment, please observe body language and the situational context: For example, were the individuals seated at a meal? engaged in a discussion? watching TV "together?" etc.  Here you can describe with terminology  (proxemics, synchronicity, haptics, immediacy, silence, etc.) and set the scene with relevant examples. You do have to set the scene as in the discussion board -- but also explain at least four types of nonlistening.  In the course of a business day or being at home with family, we often experience all types of nonlistening.   In addition, your textbook provides six forms of nonlistening and this will be important to evaluate with not only terminology but vivid examples: pseudolistening monopolizing selective listening defensive listening ambushing literal listening After reviewing them, think of a time when you and/or family members engaged in nonlistening (or didn't engage in listening, depending on how you look at it).  This journal entry requires you to draw on your insights and your powers of observation between you and your family members, friends, enemies, or colleagues. As in the discussion board assignment, please observe body language and the situational context along with the relevant dialog. This is often a personal and eye-opening observational exercise. Describe the situation. What was the result of the nonlistening? What could have been done differently? What conclusions do you draw from this observational exercise?

Description Congratulations: Because of all the hard work and detailed analysis ...

Description Congratulations: Because of all the hard work and detailed analysis you have been completing this semester, the brand you have been working on heard about your approach and wants to hire you for a short consulting project where you can create a strategy for one of their social media accounts. As you now know, every digital platform has different audiences, and those audiences behave differently on each platform—that’s why every platform requires its own strategy. For your project, you will create and present a strategy for ONE social media (instagram) account of the brand/organization (American Internantional University in Kuwait. Instagram: @aiu_kw) you’ve been following throughout this course. You’ll use several elements of the discussion research you’ve already done (not to mention your classmates' feedback!) to complete your strategy. Revisit your chosen brand/organization one last time. Select ONE of the organization’s active social media accounts to work with. Use the Final Strategy Template file found hereLinks to an external site. to create slides for your presentation. Feel free to change the aesthetics of the presentation (font, colors, design; add slides if you want to show examples of content), but the architecture and order of the presentation should remain the same.  Presentation Guidelines: Link to template: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1crrvSOFFAKmNgGgDcc5b3paxu9jXn4LbbRc9EFS4v2w/copyLinks to an external site. (Make a copy of the template for your own use; do not request edit access.) AUDIT THE SOCIAL ACCOUNT  Set the stage. Identify the brand, identify the social network and give the URL where it can be found. Give the account basics: how many followers, how many posts per day, any other basic information you deem important. Discuss the content. What kind of content does the brand typically post on this network?  Show your SWOT analysis. Identify two competitors. How do their followers and posts per day compare? Give at least 1 example of content from each. AUDIT THE AUDIENCE Who is the audience now? How is the current audience different than who the audience SHOULD be? (Do not say that the brand is already reach the audience it wants; every brand has room for improvement.)  Select a single viable audience segment to target. Your segment should be noticeably distinct from the organization's broader audience. Note the target segment's age(s), % male/female, geographic location(s), activities/affinities and other demographics, psychographics and characteristics that define/shape this target audience. It should be very clear how this segment differs from the brand's broader audience, and why it's a viable segment. Create a persona for the target segment. GOALS Connect the organization's SWOT to your target segment. What strengths or opportunities can you leverage (or, what weaknesses or threats can you address) to grow and/or engage your target segment on your chosen social network? Identify the overall business objective. Then, state your SMART social channel goal(s) that align with point A. above. Identify what funnel stages this SMART goal(s) targets. Identify a KPI for each goal. STRATEGY & TACTICS  What types of content should the account create? Be specific. Should the account share articles or other pages on your brands website, social-only content, or both? Images/graphics/video? Silly/serious/edgy/artsy content? What types of content should the account share from other users? How often will you post? How many posts per day, and on what days? How should the account engage the audience beyond creating and sharing content? How should the brand interact with audiences and build reciprocal relationships? What conversations should the brand join, or what influencers should the account leverage? CONCLUSION  Summarize your strategies and tactics, and connect them to your suggested KPIs. You must explain how the strategy you suggest will actually drive KPIs (and, thus, reach goals) and support the marketing funnel. PRESENTATION  Your presentation should be polished and professional. Spelling, grammar, clear writing, strong visuals, vocal presentation and your overall ability to effectively communicate your strategy all count! The presentation must fit within the stated duration window.
