What is a construct? What is a measure? Discuss different levels of measures and give examples in your description. Pick a construct and describe that construct in detail. Next, find two research articles from peer reviewed journals studying that construct. You are to find actual research studies talking about the construct, not review articles for measures. For example, here is an article ABOUT a measure: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/BF00917219 (This is not the full text of the article) This is an article that USES measures in a study: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapsychiatry/article-abstract/494134 (This is not the full text of the article.) (You want to look for articles that USE measures in a study. Please ask if you don't understand the difference.) Include the references for those articles and a link to the articles. What specific measures were used in each study? If you were conducting your own study, which one (if either) would you use and why?

PART 1.   When are you most aware of your age? This might seem like a strange question, but think about it for a minute. Often, we become aware of things about ourselves when we are around people who are different from us in some way. So, maybe you notice your age when you are with your grandparents because they can't do some of the things you can do or they have different opinions than ones you and others in your age group have learned to accept as appropriate or normal or necessary. For this assignment, I'd like you to think about how your age and your generational identity might affect how you interact with co-workers. Try to think of a time when your age became an issue (good or bad) at work. (If you cannot think of a workplace example, think of one with your family or at school.) Look back at page 15 in the textbook and identify which generation you belong to (i.e., millennial, Generation Y, etc.). Then identify which generation the person you were interacting with belongs to. Please try to tell me what it was about your age difference that lead to the issue you identified (again, good or bad). PART 2.  Watch the following TED talk.  Chip Conley TED Talk on Age Diversity in the Workplace What is your general reaction to what Chip Conley is saying about how different generations can/should work together? What do you think about his idea of an "irrelevancy gap"? How do you think we should overcome this gap (or should we overcome it)? What does he mean by a "relevant elder" or a "modern elder"? What does he say, in general, about how the generations can improve the workplace by accepting each other's strengths? Finally, can you think of a way to incorporate "mutual mentorship" into your own current or future work life so people from different generational backgrounds can support and enhance each other's work? PART 3.  Age discrimination is only one type of discrimination that can be discussed when we talk about fair employment practices. Your book talks about some other really important types of discrimination as well.

Consider this scenario: A family has contacted you about the care of their grandfather, Juan, who has Alzheimer's disease. The nursing home staff report that Juan engages in frequent elopement from the nursing home facility when unattended, and verbal aggression that has caused disruptions to the other nursing home residents. A review of the files shows that the nursing home contracted with a BCaBA who did not conduct a functional behavior assessment but advised setting limits, being consistent with rules, and blocking Juan from engaging in problem behavior. The nursing home staff decided to incorporate these strategies by restricting Juan from accessing the courtyard or roaming the halls, leaving him to stay all day in his room with only accompanied walks to therapies and the dining hall. Juan's behaviors escalated and they have stated they will be ordering the use of chemical restraints to block occurrences of the problem behavior. For this assignment, complete the following: Consider Bailey and Burch's (2016) risk-benefit analysis model, taught in ICS. Use this Risk-Benefit Analysis Template [DOCX] to outline the risks and benefits of a behavior analytic procedure (remember chemical restraints are not behavior analytic). Prepare a formal letter to the family with your recommendations. Include a copy of the worksheet you used with your notes to conduct the risk-benefit analysis. Analyze, within the letter, at least five BACB ethical code elements that are relevant to your discussed behavior analytic procedure and this scenario.

To understand ABA, it is important to understand how it is different from other fields of psychology and how it is similar to and different from other branches of behavior analysis. In this assignment, you will use the seven dimensions of ABA identified in your course text and Baer et al.'s 1968 article, "Some Current Dimensions of Applied Behavior Analysis," to identify articles that are behavior analytic and those that are not. (See Week 9: The Seven Dimensions in PracticeLinks to an external site. reading list.) You will also differentiate ABA from the other branches of behavior analysis; behaviorism and the experimental analysis of behavior. For this assignment, you will read two articles provided to you by your instructor—one behavior analytic and the other not. Then use the What Is ABA? Template [DOCX] Download What Is ABA? Template [DOCX]to complete the following: Distinguish ABA from other psychological fields by identifying which of the articles is behavior analytic and which is not, and provide an explanation for your choice. Be sure to identify which of the seven dimensions of ABA are present in the behavior analytic article. Analyze why the other article is not behavior analytic. How do you know the seven dimensions are not present? Differentiate ABA from the other branches of behavior analysis, by explaining the differences and connections between ABA, behaviorism, and EBA. Which aspects are shared and which aspects make them different from each other? Refer to the What Is ABA? rubric to ensure you understand the grading criteria for this assignment. .

you only doing the paper NOT presentation part of this project the paper is about substance abuse and oral health attached bellow you can find the references that I'm using and information about the population from Hermanos de Calle https://www.hermanosdelacalle.org/ the table with all my references and the June 16 paper  ritten assignments must be formatted with 1” margins, double-spaced, size 12 font, comply with the APA Manual and assignment criteria.  A quick guide for APA is available at the APA website http://www.apastyle.org/ American Psychological Association. (2020). Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed.). https://doi.org/10.1037/0000165-000 NOTE: APA Style is much more than just references. The manual has guidelines for the use of headings, commas, capital letters, etc. so keep it by your side as you write. The paper should have a title page formatted according to APA Style, see a sample of the paper format in your APA Manual. The headings to use in your final paper and presentation are in bold font below.  Title Page Introduction: a paragraph or two to identify the objectives (tell the reader what you plan to do) and give an overview of the paper (tell the reader how you plan to do it).  Note: the presentation would be one slide of key information in short bullet points. Literature review on your special care population (this is the revisions of draft you submitted on June 16th) include a summary of the needs assessment information for your population.  Tables can sometimes be used to reduce the text of the paper and still provide important information so think about whether this is a way to convey information to your reader and reduce your narrative portion of the paper.  Note: the presentation will be 1 or 2 slides with key words/phrases to convey key information. Methods: Provide an overview of the plan you developed for the health promotion/disease prevention program based on the needs assessment. Results: Provide information on your program outcomes and possibly a table or graph. Discussion: Discuss how the outcomes relate to the literature and previous research. You may also include observations from personal experience, but make sure that it is clear these are your personal opinions and not evidence-based.  Conclusion: a paragraph to summarize and bring closure to the paper.

STEP 4: Design & Conduct of Health Promotion/Disease Prevention Program  My presentations is for a group call Hermanos de la Calle https://www.hermanosdelacalle.org/ IN SUBSTANCW ABUSE I WILL BE DOING THE PRESENTATION JULY 6-7 You should determine if a state or local needs assessment has been done for your target population. Substance abuse Miami Florida  If a needs assessment exists, then you can use that information to design your health promotion/disease prevention program. You may want to check with local public health departments to determine if the information you need is available.  If you plan to conduct a pre- and post-test, please plan to put your findings into table format and/or graph within your paper. This is good practice for your future work in public health or education! The program you design must be within the norm for the standards of care and pose minimal risk to participants.  Creativity and expansive thinking are encouraged in the development and implementation of the health promotion/disease prevention program. For instance, some sites may not have the ability to display a PowerPoint to the group and handouts and/or a poster presentation may be more appropriate. For planning how the time for the presentation will be used, use the lesson plan format provided in Blackboard or one you are familiar with for a detailed plan.  Ideally you will conduct your project face to face, but in some instances and for some groups, a virtual presentation may be preferred by the group you are working with since many have become more comfortable with virtual presentations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students can use the MCPHS Zoom platform at no charge https://is.mcphs.edu/software/zoom  For virtual projects, please record the meeting and share a link to a recording of the session as the implementation part of your portfolio. You should notify the group you will be recording and tell them they can turn off their camera and change their screen name if they prefer to remain anonymous. You may want to give them these instructions prior to the meeting. Emphasize the recording will only be for assessment of your project and not shared outside class.
