there are 2 examples of 2 students giving their opinions in regard to the following questions, What are some of the suggestions for a training session? How are adult learners different than other students? What should be done to make information relevant to the adult learner? Please respond to each student supporting their discussion stating if you agree and please use citation and a reference for response in APA format. response should be 4-5 sentence for each response. student 1: Training is essential for any career and plays a significant role in successful career growth. It involves providing specific information and skills to listeners to help them perform a particular job or task more effectively (Beebe & Mottet, 2013). Training sessions can be conducted in various ways, such as small classroom settings, webinars, or conferences. When creating a training session, it is crucial to have a well-organized plan and layout for the sessions. This includes defining the learning objectives, clarifying key topics and related concepts, organizing the material, planning presentation techniques, including evaluation, and focusing on timing (Mind Tools Content Team, 2024). Adult learners are more self-directed and want to be responsible for their educational path. Effective strategies for adult learners include keeping the lessons relevant by incorporating real-world filters, focusing on the learners' life experiences, and telling stories while teaching (Cobb, 2023). student 2: Training is similar to any presentation. It is a special type of informative speaking through which the trainer seeks to develop specific skills in listeners to help them perform a specific job or task more effectively. Training that does not address a trainee’s needs or specific job functions is not effective. (Beebe & Mottet, 2013, p. 330). So, for training, there are many suggestions, but I will state two. The first one is clear objectives: Clearly define the learning objectives at the beginning of the training session to provide participants with a clear understanding of what they will learn and accomplish. The second thing is interactive discussions: Encourage active participation and discussion among participants to facilitate knowledge sharing and peer learning. How are adult learners different than other students? Your audience would not be the same all the time. If your audience consists of adult listeners, you will need to ensure that you deliver your message in the way that adults learn best. (Beebe & Mottet, 2013, p. 327). Adult learners differ from other students in several ways. Let me give you two. First: in self-directed learning; adult learners are often more self-directed and motivated, preferring to take control of their learning process and focus on topics that are relevant to their personal or professional goals. Second: immediate application, adult learners typically prefer learning content that they can immediately apply to their work or personal lives, making real-world relevance an essential aspect of effective training. What should be done to make information relevant to the adult learner? You can address real-world challenges, meaning to present information in the context of real-world challenges or scenarios that adult learners may encounter in their daily lives or professional roles. And also, connect to prior knowledge.

Write a 2250-4900 word MLA college level paper that proves your proficiency in the articulation of the material in class by reflecting on the course curriculum and correctly incorporating the vocabulary, concepts, and/or themes to your life. you are assigned concepts from the class curriculum that must be applied to your life (written in the first person) and then analyzed using the class curriculum as the basis of the analysis. The following concepts must be addressed in the order that they are stated here: FIRST CONCEPT: Uncertainty Reduction Theory CORRESPONDING LESSON: 6 CONCEPTS: Axiom, Theorem, and Theorem 17 (which includes the axioms that make up Theorem 17) “Example” Particulars: Share a time in your life when theorem 17 played out. Be sure to share the whole story, from the moment you did not know the person but they had 1, 2, and/or 3 of the conditions which boost our drive to reduce the uncertainty (listed on the first page of the chapter). Then share how you enacted the axioms of theorem 17 and reduced the uncertainty. “Analysis” Particulars: Define the concepts of Axiom, Theorem, and Theorem 17 (which includes the axioms that make up Theorem 17) and analyze your example based on your definitions. SECOND CONCEPT: Cognitive Dissonance CORRESPONDING LESSON: 7 CONCEPT: Cognitive Dissonance “Example" Particulars: Share a time when you really liked a person, place or thing but then heard something bad about that person, place, or thing and the feelings, beliefs, or emotions you felt upon hearing this new information. Then explain how you settled the mixed emotions you felt. “Analysis” Particulars: Define Cognitive Dissonance. Analyze your example against the definition of cognitive dissonance. THIRD CONCEPT: The Decision Making Process CORRESPONDING LESSON: 8 CONCEPT: Goal Setting “Example” Particulars: Share a decision that you are currently having to make and three possible goals for this decision. For the three goals, which one would you consider to be a "must" (so, be sure to include a goal that you would consider to be a "must"), and what would you weight the other two "wants" (Use a scale of 1-10, with 1 be least important and 10 being most important). You can, if you want, reflect on a passed decision and share what was (or what you wished were) three of the goals for that decision and which goal was the "must" and weight the other two goals (as they would be the "wants"). “Analysis” Particulars:Define Goal Setting in the decision making process. Analyze your example against the definition of goal setting while paying careful attention to the goals you mentioned and their ratings. STEP DETAILS “EXAMPLE” REQUIREMENTS: Indicate the beginning of this concept step with an MLA Level 2 Header titled “Example” (italicized, flush left). Write out an example for the concept assigned. Write, in the first person, an example from your own life about how the assigned concept plays out in your life. Sometimes you will be assigned to write about multiple concepts. In these cases, the one detailed example should illustrate all concepts. The example is YOUR story. This should come from your own life. You want to think about a time that the given concept played out in your life and tell that story. Just tell the story. Think of it as a narrative on a specific time in your life. REMEMBER, FOR COMMUNICATION TO BE CLEAR, SHARE ALL THE DETAILS IN YOUR EXAMPLE. THERE IS COMPASSION IN THE DETAILS. THE MORE DETAILS; THE MORE CLEAR WE ARE ABOUT WHAT WE ARE COMMUNICATING. Do NOT try to use the terms of the concept in the telling of your story – just tell the story. Do NOT explain how the concept is actually playing out in the example, in your story – leave that for the analysis. Follow college level spelling, punctuation, and grammar rules. “ANALYSIS” REQUIREMENTS: Indicate the beginning of this concept step with an MLA Level 2 Header titled “Analysis” (italicized, flush left). Write out the definition of the concept using the book, additional readings, or podcast as references (do NOT use sources from outside the class curriculum). Be sure to cite your sources (in-text citations AND bibliography). At times a specific definition may be required (whether from a podcast or specific reading in the class, if this is required it will be stated in the “CAP Specifics”. The definition is a definition NOT an explanation. In-text citations must be in MLA format. See: MLA in-text citations guidelineLinks to an external site.. Pay careful attention to the directions on how to cite a podcast. This is noted in the “Citing non-print or sources from the Internet” AND “Time-based media sources”. For in-text citations of a podcast, this means include the producer’s or narrator’s last name AND the time stamp of when something was stated (eg: Arenivar 1:20-1:35). Bibliography must be in MLA format. See: MLA bibliography guidelineLinks to an external site.. Explain how the example from step 1 illustrates the concept you defined. This is the analysis. In the instances when multiple concepts have been assigned, be sure to define all the concepts and explain where in the single, detailed example are the concepts illustrated. This full step includes your definitions and your analysis (explanation) of how the concept(s) was/were illustrated in your example. The definitions are the basis of your analysis (explanation). Obviously, if your definitions are wrong, then your analysis (explanation) would be wrong. Be sure to fully explain how your example illustrates the concept(s), how it serves as an example of the concept. Do NOT add to your story here. Think of this as an analysis of a film, where the film was the story you told in the example. One cannot add to the film; the film is the film. You can only reference (analyze) what you wrote in the example. Full points are not earned for both the example and analysis if you added to the story in this section of the paper. If you want to reference something that you forgot to put in the example; go back and rewrite your example. Follow college level spelling, punctuation, and grammar rules. PAPER FORMATTING DETAILS MLA paper header must be included on the first page (left aligned, double spaced) of the paper indicating: Student Name, Professor Name, Class Name, and Date. MLA page header must be included on every top right corner of the paper indicating the student's last name and document page number. There must be a paper title that is unique given what the paper is about. The whole paper is double spaced (including the paper header). No double-double spacing between paragraphs. The first line of each paragraph must be indented. Margins for the paper must be set at 1" all around the paper. Font should be legible (e.g. Times New Roman or Arial) with a size of 12 pt. Each Concept (section) must be titled the name of the concept and formatted using MLA Level 1 guidelines (bold, flush left). Each Concept (section) has 2 steps. The first step is "Example". The second step is "Analysis".

After watching both videos on the Heckscher-Ohlin Theorem, briefly explain what the HO Theorem is about, what the limitations are, and why economists use this model to analyze trade pattern between two countries. Additionally, research two countries and describe the trade pattern between the two countries chosen. Can you apply the HO Theorem to the trade patterns? Why or why not? Use the LIRN library for sources – minimum 2 sources excluding your textbook. Do not use websites as sources – find journal articles instead. You can use Statista as a source for finding trade information between countries – trade data is not the same as trade patterns! You can find patterns by analyzing the trade data. 1.) Review Toulmin Argumentation Actions . This PowerPoint will teach what an argument is and how to construct an argument (claim, data, and warrant). It is highly important that you retain these concepts! You will be using this PowerPoint to answer some submission questions below. 2.) Watch this competitive sample college debate below. This form of collegiate debate is called British Parliamentary debate. We are not using this form of debate for this course but it is still educational to learn debate concepts from students and is similar to the debate style you will be learning. The first speaker is the Affirmative debater. The second debater is the Negative debater. All debates happen this way; the first speaker is always the Affirmative debater and the second speaker is always the Negative debater.  *IMPORTANT*: You can stop watching the video at 15:30 (15-minute mark). You will only be watching the first 2 speakers. You do not need to watch the whole debate, unless you want to. :-) I like showing this as a starter debate because these are college students themselves with very little prior experience and no one in this video is a professional.  3.) After watching the first 15:30 minutes of this debate (the first two debaters), answer the following prompts by replying to this thread in complete sentences: Submission A: Which speaker in your estimation did the best job presenting their arguments? Why? Your response should be at least 7 sentences long. In your response, focus on their use of argumentation and delivery. What specific arguments were best? Why was their delivery better? Submission B: Choose one of the first two speakers from the video above and break down one of their arguments according to the Toulmin method of argumentation from the PowerPoint above (Toulmin ArgumentationActions ). You only need to break down one of their arguments using claim, data, and warrant (you don't need to identify backing, rebuttal, or qualifier). 4.) Review SLU Chapter 2Actions , SLU Chapter 6 Actions , and SLU ChapterActions . Chapter 2 will explain the basics of debate. Chapter 6 will explain a value debate. Chapter 7 will explain how to construct a value debate as the affirmative and negative debater. *IMPORTANT*: I have made an easy-to-use debate template that you will be using as the affirmative or negative debater in our files as well: IPDA Aff Debate Ca Actions . Please use this template for your debates. 5.) Watch this collegiate IPDA (International Public Debate Association) debate in full below. The topic they are debating is: "Space exploration is worth it." THIS FORM OF DEBATE (IPDA) WILL BE THE FORM OF DEBATE WE WILL BE USING FOR THE COURSE! This form of debate is a little different from the one above. Notice this debate is just one debater versus another debater (1 v 1). Also, there are a couple 2-minute time periods called "cross examination" where they can question one another. The official rules and time allotments can be found here:  IPDA Debate Info. I don't expect you to memorize any of the information in this link but you should review the time allotments and order of speeches. Finally, notice how each debater writes their opponent's arguments down as they speak. We call this "flowing" and will be covered in a future week. :-) 6.) After watching this debate in full, answer the following prompts by replying to this thread in complete sentences:
