OVERVIEW Three times during this course you will prepare a written analysis of a social movement. For each paper, you are responsible for identifying the social movement that you will analyze. One way to identify current social movements is by finding media coverage of protest events, such as demonstrations, marches, or rallies. (Note: Remember that social movements must have temporal continuity, so a protest event that occurred once without future sustained action would not be considered a social movement.) The goal of the analysis paper is for you to demonstrate your ability to apply course concepts. Your analysis paper should be at least 600-words long (approximately two double-spaced pages) with 12-point Calibri or Times New Roman font. Each paper is worth up to 40 points. Note: In this course, word/page requirements only include the text in the body of the paper. The word count does not include title or reference pages. INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1: Identify a social movement FROM OUTSIDE OF THE US that has been active since 2010. It could have started any year and it may no longer be active. It just must have had activity since 2010. NOTE: The Arab Spring is NOT available for this assignment. STEP 2: Find and analyze the following sources to develop your understanding of this social movement: A relevant social movement organization’s (SMO) webpage. Two videos and/or print news stories about specific protest events or the movement, broadly speaking. STEP 3: Write your analysis paper. It should include two main sections: In the first section, describe the social movement using concepts from Module 1. For instance, you should address the following questions: When did this movement form? What were the movement’s grievance? Who were the key actors involved (proponents v. opponents)? What was the target of the action? Note: Write this as a cohesive story about the movement. Do not just compose single sentences that answer the questions presented here. In the second section, describe the movement's outcomes using concepts presented in Module 4. STEP 4: Include a reference page as a separate, last page of your analysis paper. The reference page should include citations/hyperlinks to the sources identified in step 2 above and any other sources that inform your paper. The Cite Your Sources page contains a host of resources about APA citation style. STEP 5: Submit your analysis paper to Canvas before 11:59pm on Sunday, June 22.

I need a three paragraph Discussion Response. Respond to my peer response Below. Good Morning, classmates and Professor, We've reached Unit 5! The classes seem to be going faster and faster towards our end goal. I wish you all the best in the next class. When looking at whether Carl's termination violated his legal expectation of privacy, several factors must be considered within the context of employment law and privacy rights. Generally, an employee's expectation of privacy regarding their social media activity is not absolute, especially when their posts can potentially impact their employer's reputation or business interests. Unless Carl has an employment contract that states otherwise, he is likely an at-will employee. Under this doctrine, the employee can be terminated at any point, without cause, as long as the reason for termination does not violate the law (American InterContinental University 2025). The key is to balance the employee's right to express personal opinions against the employer's legitimate need to maintain a positive public image and protect its business. In this scenario, while Carl posted on Facebook with privacy settings that limited visibility to his friends, the fact that a coworker saw the post and reported it to management introduces a critical element. The legal expectation of privacy is often determined by whether the employee took reasonable steps to protect their information and whether the employer had a legitimate reason to monitor or access the information. Here, Carl's attempt to limit the audience of his Facebook posts suggests he intended to keep his comments private. However, the ease with which a coworker discovered his post diminishes the strength of this expectation. Courts often consider whether the information was obtained through lawful means, such as a coworker voluntarily sharing the post, versus more intrusive methods like hacking or employer surveillance. Additionally, the content of Carl's post directly violated the restaurant's policy against disparaging customers and negatively representing the restaurant on social media, which further weakens his privacy claim. Ultimately, the restaurant's decision to terminate Carl likely does not violate his legal expectation of privacy. While Carl attempted to limit the visibility of his Facebook post, the fact that it was seen and reported by a coworker, coupled with the post's direct violation of company policies, diminishes his claim to privacy in this context. The restaurant's interest in protecting its reputation and enforcing its policies outweighs Carl's expectation of privacy, especially given the potential damage his post could cause the business. This scenario underscores the importance of employees being mindful of their social media activity and adhering to company policies, even when they believe their posts are private. The new system is expected to greatly improve patient care coordination, reduce medication errors, and increase transparency in billing and documentation. Before a final decision can be made, you must negotiate with stakeholders to get buy-in for this new system. The nurses’ union is concerned about the training nurses will need and whether this will add more tasks to their already demanding shifts. The hospital’s IT department predicts challenges with integrating the new EHR system with existing systems. The patients’ advocacy group wants assurances that the change will not disrupt patient care and that patients’ private data will be secure. The board of directors wants a return on investment (ROI) and a timeline for the expected benefits of the new system. The medical staff is concerned about the learning curve and potential workflow disruptions. “The Son” tells the story of a family torn apart by divorce and a boy who shows troubling signs of mental illness and an inability to cope. Millions of real families face similar situations every year, but too often they don’t recognize the warning signs. After viewing the film, let us consider the case of Nicholas from a treatment perspective. Envision yourself as the counselor to one of these characters portrayed in the film: Peter, Nicholas, Kate, Beth or Peter’s father. Choose which character you are the counselor for and in a minimum of 1000 words (but feel free to write as much as you wish), share your thoughts on how you would have handled the situation and what you feel were the warning signs that were missed in the movie and could have possibly prevented the end result. Write from your perspective as the counselor for the character of your choice as though you are writing a report to your clinical supervisor
