Assessment Description To begin the action research process, a researcher selects a focus and clarifies the vision and targets of the research. The annotated bibliography, a close review of current scholarly sources about a research topic, helps to clarify the vision and targets of the research and builds support for a research investigation. In Topic 1 you selected two areas of research for your action research study. Using the terminology learned in Topic 1, work towards preparing your proposal by analyzing current research and narrowing down your specific topic or focus. Use the “TCH-539 Proposal and Annotated Bibliography” template to help guide your action research proposal, annotated bibliography of current research, and develop research questions. Part 1: Preparing Your Proposal Your proposal is your research plan. You will use the proposal to present your research study to stakeholders for approval. Remember that you will only plan and draft the proposal in this course. A proposal contains your problem statement, purpose, research questions, methodology, design, and data collection plan, as well as ethical considerations and desired/anticipated outcomes. You will start your proposal in this topic assignment and complete it in later topics. To guide the focus of your research, complete the following: Identify the research area and the specific target or focus (problem) of your proposed action research. Choose one of the research areas, and include the corresponding target or focus from Topic 1. Identify the methodology/design you plan to use that is appropriate for the project. Write 2-3 research questions using the selected methodology and design. Part 2: Annotated Bibliography Locating and validating research studies available through the library and other online resources is an essential part of action research. Identifying whether the research is qualitative or quantitative will help you gain a deeper understanding of the terms and problem statements. Using the examples included in “TCH-539 Proposal and Annotated Bibliography” as a guide, examine four recent (not older than 3 years) research articles related to your target or focus. At least three of the selected articles must be peer-reviewed. Utilize the GCU Library resources listed in topic Resources to assist in finding applicable research articles. Each annotation should include a citation for a total of four scholarly resources; however, you do not need a separate references page. While APA Style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

The book this essay is based on is: We the People (Fourteenth Essentials Edition) by Benjamin Ginsberg; Theodore J. Lowi; Margaret Weir; Caroline J. Tolbert; Andrea L. Campbell; Megan Ming Francis; Robert J. Spitzer. Instruction: The essay must be from 600 to 700 words. What are the primary areas of difference between contemporary Democrats and Republicans? How are the two parties similar? What are the consequences of these patterns for voters and election outcomes? For policy outcomes?
Consider what you've learned by sharing your opinions and insights with your peers. Hyper-V is one of many different available hypervisors that can be used to run Windows Server 2019 virtual machines in a server environment, such as a datacenter. Another common server-focused hypervisor is VMware’s vSphere. Read the following Atlantech blog post Hyper-V vs. VMware: Which Is Best? (atlantech.net) that compares Hyper-V to vSphere. Write a post of at least 100 words summarizing the key points from the blog post. What types of organizations would choose vSphere for hosting Windows Server 2019, and which ones would choose Hyper-V? Use complete sentences and check your grammar and spelling. NOTE: Your response should be unique from your classmates. Be sure to claim your topic early by first posting your selection in the discussion board. If you see another student has already selected the topic you want, you will have to select a different topic. Finally, respond to two of your classmates’ threads with posts of at least 50 words discussing their summaries and recommendations. Try to ask open-ended questions that encourage discussion, and remember to respond to people who post on your thread.
Review the curriculum with your mentor teacher and select one lesson that you will observe. You will need to submit an observational write-up of your mentor teacher's lesson (remove any identifying information). For your observational write-up, you will write out a condensed lesson plan accurately reflecting the lesson your mentor teacher is implementing. When you schedule an observation, make sure that the lesson will provide evidence of either formative or summative assessments. Your observation will be guided by both a template and the mentor teacher's written lesson plan based on the planned learning objectives. The structure of your observation should engage three phases of lesson implementation. Introductory: Describe how your mentor teacher introduces the lesson. Was the learning objective/s clear in how the lesson was introduced? Developmental: Describe how your mentor teacher presented content and planned activities. Did these align with the learning objective/s? Concluding: Describe how the teacher concluded the lesson, and the assessment and/or closing reflection that was used. To what extent did these align with the learning objective/s. "Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction" Observation Checklist should also be utilized during the observation to break down further what instructional decisions were made by the teacher throughout the lesson you observed. To use the checklist, make sure that you understand Gagne's Nine Event of Instruction. They are listed, below. Gaining the attention of the students Informing the learner of the objective Stimulating recall of prior learning Presenting the content Providing learning guidance Eliciting the performance Providing feedback Assessing the performance Enhancing retention and transfer Please note that the nine events do not necessarily follow the enumerated order above. When observing your teacher, identify as many of Gagne's Nine events as you can. Observe as many of the nine events as possible. https://www.softchalkcloud.com/lesson/serve/pPaF1xEGzdck6s/html this link has all the instructions just click on " part one observe a lesson"
