For this assignment read the following case study: Basu, R., Lim, W. M., Kumar, A., & Kumar, S. (2023). Marketing analytics: The bridge between customer psychology and marketing decision?making. Psychology & Marketing, 40(12). Abstract: As modern marketing environments become increasingly data-intensive, the role of marketing analytics in illuminating the dynamics of customer psychology to inform marketing decision-making becomes critical. This study conducts a systematic literature review using a bibliometric analysis of 122 studies identified and retrieved from Scopus, focusing on the expansive domain of marketing analytics. Our review serves as a conduit binding the fragmented past, present, and future of marketing analytics, presenting an organized framework that highlights the characteristic theoretical underpinnings associated with it. Beyond offering a panoramic perspective of key resources—encompassing journals, authors, countries/territories, and institutions—we delve deeply into predominant themes in marketing analytics. These themes underscore its vital applications, from decision-making, forecasting, and capability building, to understanding customer journeys and gaining a competitive edge. Central to our discourse is the study's implication, emphasizing marketing analytics as a bridge to a more informed grasp of customer psychology in today's customer-centric, data-driven environment. Through this lens, marketing analytics becomes a potent tool to capture psychological nuances, uncovering facets that might be bypassed by traditional marketing, thereby empowering enriched decision-making in modern marketing strategies. After reading this case study, answer the following questions in a 3-4 page paper: What are 3 main factors of connecting the study of consumer psychology to the process of marketing decision making did the case discuss? What role does marketing analytics have in today’s modern marketing environment for decision making according to the article? What future trends do you think this case study sheds light on in the use of marketing analytics for decision making, in your own words? What final perspectives did this article give you in the advent of decision making as it relates to marketing analysis support?
As we look at competition we need to remember there are many ways to form a competitive position. Consider the article 'Big Chains Put a Lock in First Run Movies." There are three primary actors in this article 1) a small new independent theater, 2) large established theater chains, and 3) movie distributors (and producers). You should be able to discern how the established theater chains are leveraging practice of 'clearance' to produce supplier power and control the market. Choose whether the independent operator has been unfairly treated or if the established theater chains are justified in their practice which creates barriers of entry and stifles competitiveness. Include if appropriate a discussion of how market share concentration is related to this industry's market structure.

Classmate post:and I'm currently working towards completing my Master of Business Administration degree! I graduated with my Bachelors from Kennesaw State University and I'm taking this course to not only complete my degree but learn more about marketing. The hypothetical company I'd like to create is a public relations company specializing in managing social media influencers. My company would work to secure brand deals for social media influencer, manage their reputation, and help them build a personal brand that resonates with their audience. Additionally, we would also offer crisis management services to assist influencers with navigating any challenges that arise and offer media training to strengthen their communication skills. Our services would include content strategy and development, audience engagement, and analytics to ensure our clients maximize their reach and impact. We would be open to managing influencers on all platforms, but specifically Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. A simple breakdown of how I'd implement the Four Ps of Marketing is: Product: Influencer Management, Brand Deals, Sponsorships, Reputation and Crisis Management In addition to managing each influencer, we would secure partnerships to generate income for influencers and handle their public image while providing strategies for navigating controversies. Price: It may vary but we would first secure a retainer fee which would cover the monthly service fee and then request a 10-15% commission based on the secured partnerships. We will also offer a la carte items for influencers that still want to use our services, but may not need to have us on a monthly retainer. Place: We'd have a strong online presence, but the office location would be a rented office space in Atlanta where we could meet with influencers in person and offer content shoot days for influencers. Promotion: Our promotion would include managing our own social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok, offering regular blog posts, newsletters, and social media updates. Additionally, we'd encourage the influencers we work with to provide testimonials showcasing our success stories from our managed influencers.
