Visit a museum or gallery with three-dimensional work and write a report sharing your experience. Write a few sentences describing the overall show/installation, but focus your attention on one specific piece in that show. The piece you choose must be three-dimensional, but the entire exhibition does not need to be. The work does not need to be contemporary. If you are visiting a museum, you should not be describing the entire museum. Choose one exhibition. If you are visiting a gallery, there will likely be only one exhibition. Do your research before visiting to make sure the museum/gallery has three-dimensional work. Check their website or call ahead. Write a 1.5 page minimum (12 pt. Times New Roman, double-spaced) essay describing the overall exhibition and addressing the following points about the piece you have chosen to focus on. Give the artist’s name, title of the piece, and date of the piece’s completion. What era or art movement is the work from? Or is it contemporary? **If you cannot find some of this information, just explain that in your paper. Why did you choose this artwork to discuss? Explain your interest and/or personal connection with it. Why do you think the museum/gallery considers this artwork important/ culturally relevant? What is the media? What process do you think the artist used to create the piece? **If you do not know for sure, try to figure it out. Give a formal analysis of the work. Considering the elements and principles of design. How does the artist use them in the work? How do they help make the work successful?
In the first column, identify creators from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries who you think made important contributions to art and culture in the form of humanities artifacts that impacted society. Identify one of the artifacts they created (in the second column) and the medium of the artifact (in the third column). Recall from Fundamentals of Human Culture that mediums can include dance, literature, sculpture, visual arts, architecture, music, performance, and so forth. Then, explain why you believe the creator felt the need to express their ideas (in the fourth column). For example, if one of the people you chose was John Lennon, you could identify one of his songs and discuss how the song relates to examples of his social activism. Once you have completed the second table, answer the question presented at the bottom of the page: What differences do you notice between the artifacts from each era? Reflecting on what you have learned in this theme, where do you think those differences stemmed from?

The class is global culture visuaization FINAL RESEARCH PROJECT Final Research Paper Your assignment must be submitted as .doc/.docx or .pdf file Submit completed papers to Assignment titled: “Final Paper”. This assignment asks you to address the issue of globalization, particularly the “global flow” of visual culture under the conditions of late capitalism in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. The growth of multinational corporations and the subsequent global spread of the mass media, consumer products, and the Internet raise the issue of cultural imperialism. How does the globalization of Western technology, consumerism, and culture affect local traditions in other parts of the world? Are these traditions being lost? Are cultural hybrids forming? Can we even speak of the local anymore? For this assignment, you need to choose an indigenous culture from outside the United States, Canada, and Europe and address the manner in which globalization has impacted that culture’s visual traditions. Have they adapted? Formed hybrid cultures? Or have their traditions been eradicated? Some examples of topics: Indigenous Australians responding to new markets for traditional artwork Malaysian response to new markets for Western-owned satellite television Japanese response to western fast food Chinese fashion responding to western trends Brazilian music industry responding to western models Singapore’s cultural policy The impact of globalization on South Koreans' daily life This assignment will require some research; please document your sources in a format with which you feel comfortable (either MLA or Turabian/Chicago). In-text citations are acceptable. Include digital images, whenever possible. Guidelines to these citation formats may also be accessed through the Research Tools tab located on the page http://libguides.msubillings.edu You are to write at least a four-page paper (1500 words), which is typed and double-spaced with one-inch margins all around. You must use at least 7 references beyond your textbook, but at least 2/3 must be from academic sources (researched through the online PowerSearch on the Library website, a book, or a website with “.gov” or “.org”). In other words, you cannot solely rely on web searches for your research. Do not use wiki sites. I also recommend trying to use Google Scholar as a search method.
Using an autobiographical approach, review an exhibition that is currently on view at the Jepson Center. The review should begin with a story about your own life (first paragraph) that then leads into a critique of the exhibition. A good format to follow is: 1st paragraph: story from your own life 2nd paragraph: a description of the artwork 3rd paragraph: a critique that starts a discussion with me (the reader), has a point of view, and ties everything together

This rule is found in Section 2-601 of the UCC and it’s demanded to be followed. The Perfect Tender Rule means that when someone sells something, they must deliver exactly what they promised in the contract, including the quality, quantity, and delivery details. If anything is different or wrong, the buyer can refuse to accept it. This rule protects buyers, making sure they get exactly what they were promised. However, there are exceptions allowing for minor differences if both parties agree, or giving the seller a chance to fix any issues. This rule helps to ensure fairness and reliability in buying and selling goods. When a buyer rejects the goods, following the correct procedure is important for both the seller and the buyer to protect their rights and seek an equitable solution. Reference: McKenna, J. Frank. Introduction One of the most common ways in which business managers are involved with business law is in relation to contracts. Organizations of almost any size will most likely need to create, negotiate, review, approve, adhere to, and resolve con?icts associated with contracts. A business determines its legal standing by determining what type of legal entity it should be identi?ed as. The type of legal entity can signi?cantly impact: How lawsuits can be brought. How contracts are handled. How the courts interpret contract. How the organization enters into contracts. How the income from the organization’s contracts is taxed. How liability for breach of contract is assigned. How the business is soldPreparations For this assessment, assume that you work as a manager in a relatively small, privately-owned U.S. business. The company president (who is also the owner) inherited the company from his mother and has never started a business. He is considering creating a spin-off business (possibly with one or two associates) but is unsure about what form of business entity would be best to use for the new business. It is expected that contracts will play a major role in the success of the business as it utilizes numerous suppliers and distributors. The president knows you took a university-level business law class and has asked you to write a paper analyzing the four most common business entities in the context of contracts to help him decide which type of organization to choose for the new operation.Research each of the following forms of business entities: Sole proprietorship. Explain the advantages and disadvantages inherent in each of the four business forms with regard to contract creation, negotiation, and approval of contracts. Step 2: Explain contract liability for the most common types of business entities. Analyze the pros and cons of each entity in this context. For each of the four business types, who or what has liability associated with the contract? If the business breaches a contract and is found liable for damages, who in the business might bear personal liability, and what are the consequences for that individual? What liability might the business itself bear, if any? Explain the advantages and disadvantages inherent in each of the four business forms with regard to contract liability. Step 3: Explain how the income of each type of business entity is taxed, specifying whether the entity, the owner, or both, are taxed. Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each entity in this context. What are the income tax implications for each type of business? How is the income of the business and its owners taxed? Analyze the advantages and disadvantages inherent in each of the four business forms with regard to taxation of income. Step 4: Explain the effects of the type of business entity on the ability to contract for the sale of the business. Can the business be sold, in whole and/or in part? How is ownership of the business transferred in terms of what is sold? Explain the advantages and disadvantages inherent in each of the four business forms with regard to selling the business.
