Week 5 Discussion 1 Introduction All organizations experience change. Some actions have major implications, while others occur slowly. Regardless, the influence of change can cause nervousness, trust issues, toxicity, and stress. Leaders must always remain cognizant of the ramifications and remain strategic, maintaining as much transparency and strong communication efforts as possible. This week's discussion will surround the process of change and the difference between change igniters and agents. Additionally, you argue diagnostic frameworks for instituting change in an organization. Initial Post Instructions For your initial post, select a public company to research organizational change and connect the leadership theories and change elements we have covered so far. For example, think about Apple and Steve Jobs. When Jobs left the company and then returned, how did his leadership change? What types of leadership behaviors changed and how did it connect with the vision of the company? It is encouraged to consider other organizations and a specific change. Secondary Posts Instructions For responses, consider your classmates initial posts and discuss a specific diagnostic change method to discuss pros and cons of your peers' initial ideas. Who are the change igniters and who are the agents? Provide recommendations on leadership skills necessary to implement the change initiatives. Be sure to include leadership styles of each stakeholder. Writing Requirements In addition to one initial post, respond to at least two peers. • Initial Post Length: minimum of 350 words • Secondary Post Length: minimum of 200 words per post • Use APA format for in-text citations and list of references. • Must include at minimum 1 scholarly references that is not the textbook. Tips for Success At the start of our course, it is critical to focus on expectations listed. The minimum at the graduate level will earn an 80% score. An A represents complex analysis and demonstration of understanding. Courses are very fast paced and require strong time management skills. Finally, restating readings does not achieve the goal.
