Week 1 Question An important part of your final report is the Introduction, where you will describe the background and need for your project and introduce the project you have designed to address the need.Consult the Field Experience Guidelines document for more information about what is required for this Introduction section. In addition, search the literature for a project similar to your capstone project and study how the authors presented this section. Model your Introduction from this publication and the requirements in the Field Experience Guidelines. If you have previously completed this work in MPH/680, take time this week to refine and finalize your Introduction section and the slide you will use to present this information during your capstone presentation. Capstone Project: IntroductionWrite at least 525 words about the problem your capstone project will address and the origins of this project. In your write-up: Explain the problem and populations impacted. Describe how this problem is influenced by larger systems using a social-ecologic model approach. Describe the agency you are working with and the services they currently provide. Discuss stakeholder input related to identifying the problem and need for your project. Describe, at a high level, the project to be implemented and expected outcomes. Outline other data and/or evidence that justify the need for this project. Format your citations and references according to APA guidelines (APA Style 7th edition) Submit your assignment and the journal article(s) after which you modeled your Background and Need section. Week 2 Question The Methods section is a required component of your capstone report. You should consult the Field Experience Guidelines document for examples of how to write your methods, as well as consult journal articles and other publications reporting on similar projects (as you did for Week 1 and the Introduction section). It may be helpful to incorporate course materials from MPH/680 related to logic models and stated implementation/evaluation plans. Capstone Project: MethodsWrite approximately 350 words summarizing the methods used for this project. In your summary: Describe assessment procedures or activities that were used during project implementation. Explain research strategies or approaches that were used for the capstone project. Outline data and/or evidence that justify the need for this health project or initiative. Describe the metrics collected. Explain trends demonstrated in the data. Describe the results achieved.
