We will focus on the knowledge and skills needed to start a consulting business. Create a discussion post related to the concepts in the readings. Here are some ideas for your post: Search for a current article on knowledge and competencies for consulting psychology in your area of interest. Describe what you found and compare it to the list found in the Body of Knowledge for Consultants chapter you read for this week. Include a citation for the article you used to expand on Hedge’s list. In Preparing Yourself in Graduate School, Hedge and Borman describe training and activities that provide valuable skills and experiences for a consulting career. Discuss how you can prepare yourself for consulting while still in graduate school. Identify training and activities that will provide valuable skills for consulting. Select a concept that you found particularly interesting, illuminating, or insightful. Discuss how you would apply what you learned to your professional life. Find other resources to support your thoughts.
