We end this class by discussing two classic essays on 20th-century aesthetics. On the basis of your reading of Sontag and Weitz, and integrating the previous readings you have done throughout the semester in this class, evaluate the role of thinking (doing theory on artworks and the concept of art itself) and feeling (relating to artworks primarily through sensibility, as proposed by Sontag) in aesthetic experience.
