The format I would expect is something like: Results Interview Question 1 Question: How do you feel about XYZ? A short summary of what the question is getting at and seeking to gain insight into. The following themes were identified in the responses to IQ1: Theme1, Theme2, Theme3, Theme4, and Theme5. Theme 1. Theme1 was discussed by Participant1, Participant2, Participant3, Participant4, Participant5, and Participant6. Participant1 and Participant2 both thought ABC, with participating one noting, “I believe ABC” and Participant2 noting, “ABC is very important to me for some reasons.” Participant3 disagree, noting, “ABC is not important at all to me.” Participant5 and Paritcipant6 felt less certain about the importance of ABC. Participant5 said, “I am not sure about ABC” and Participant6 said, “ABC is very confusing.” Sometimes a short summary of some kind goes at the end of a theme here, but not always, and I usually suggest avoiding being too interpretive in chapter 4. Stick with objective data here, and then talk about the themes and meanings in Chapter 5. Theme2. The same as above for theme 2. Theme5. Often, there about five themes per question.
