Research Proposal Part I: Annotated Bibliography and Introductory Outline For Part I, you are going to research at least three peer-reviewed scholarly articles and summarize them by creating an annotated bibliography. You will also outline the introduction of your proposal. Objective: To begin the process of writing a full-fledged APA style research paper and proposal. The overall purpose of this research proposal is to summarize a research topic that interests you and to propose new research based off your summary. Instructions: A bibliography is a list of scholarly sources used to research a topic. In APA format, it is synonymous to your references page. An annotated bibliography is a summary of each source in your research proposal. Using one of the Library Databases (i.e. ProQuest Central, Academic OneFile, Academic Search Ultimate), search for a research article related to your research topic. Find and read up to 3 scholarly articles that you will use to create your annotated bibliography. (Note: You will be required to have at least 6 scholarly sources for the literature review in your final Research Paper). For this assignment, you are to create an annotated bibliography using at least three (3) sources and an outline for your Introduction. ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY Each annotation (3 in total) should be roughly half of a page (125 words). Instructions for writing each Annotation: Begin with the proper APA reference citation. The database should be able to generate it for you, but check it to make sure it follows this format: Author(s). (Year). Article title. Journal Title in Italics, volume number in italics(issue number), pages. DOI or URL Next, add a summary of the article (125 words). The summary should include: Purpose of study, findings/conclusions, and a direct quote with an APA in-text citation (last name, year, p.#). Remember to double space the citation and annotation. OUTLINE You will also develop an outline for your introduction. It is best to complete the outline after you finish the annotated bibliography. Please answer the questions in the template to complete this part of the assignment. You will submit a document with the Annotated Bibliography and the Introductory Outline.
