This assignment should help you reflect on your own background while using course materials and activities to help you understand how the social structure has influenced you For this topic, I would like you to talk about how I am a Persian Jew and how being a Persian (a heavily Muslim country) who is Jewish (a very small population) affects who I am today. I am a woman, female, heterosexual, cisgender, and financially comfortable, (not poor, but not super rich). My parents moved to America due to the revolution and being discriminated against for being Jewish. Today, I feel empowered by my history, background and everything my parents when through, which makes me proud of my identity.
