Please post one meaty paragraph responding to one of the questions below. Please include some direct evidence from Jack Censer's article as part of your answer. Censer's goal in writing this article is to summarize new directions in research regarding the origins of the Terror (which began in 1793). In many ways, all of the books he reviews are responding to François Furet, the French historian whose research from the 1980s had a tremendous impact on studies of the French Revolution. Please cooperatively summarize his main ideas here. Cooperate by choosing a specific feature of Furet's argument and quoting from Censer as you explain it.
