Audit Committee Audit Committee is a group of financial experts who examines the organization's financial situation and ethical compliance. They play a vital role in overseeing the company's business practices and protecting stakeholder interests. Any fraud detections by the audit committee should be made aware to the whole organization and remediated for profitability and sustainability in long term. Stakeholders input in Ethics Audit For audit to be successful, goal of the audit should be transparent to all parties then each stakeholders should feel they are part of the organization by actively securing their inputs through questionnaire, surveys & discussions and finally the outcome of audit should be updated to whole organization. Audit committee can bring significant benefits to the organization by not only providing accurate and reliable financial reporting but also overseeing nonfinancial (sustainability) reporting for stakeholders at large. Sustainability report should focus on ethical aspects, social, environmental and safety & health information which the stakeholders would use to base their decisions. In modern business environment, it's the rights of stakeholders to be part of ethical audit and boards must be responsive and responsible to them.  Conclusion Stakeholders provides business the license to operate which in turn gave rise to notions like corporate citizenship and triple bottom line reporting. If organizations adhere to business ethics and engage stakeholders during audit, fraudulent financial reporting and other irregularities can be prevented. For the above stated reasons, it would be important to engage stakeholders during ethical audit for significant benefits of the company and also contribute to the improvement of stakeholder interests.
