Description PART I: The next step in developing your strategic analysis report involves segmenting, targeting, and positioning (STP). Segmenting refers to breaking the market down into homogenous groups. Targeting refers to selecting the customer group or groups that you will focus your marketing efforts on. The appropriate segmentation variable is dependent on the needs and wants of customers. These decisions are directly tied to your value proposition and require extensive marketing research on the customers. Once the segmentation variable is determined and the target markets selected, you need to develop a positioning strategy, which refers to the way you want the customer to view the product or service relative to the competition. Describe the market research you would conduct to analyze and segment the US market. Explain how you would select your target markets and explain the process of positioning the company's products or services relative to the competition. Deliverable: Detail your STP in a six-page document. This will ultimately form part of your strategic analysis report. Submit your document to your team’s study group.Your overall STP is important, because it will create a foundation for the refinements you will make in the next step, where you will compete and submit your strategic analysis report PART II Hi Team, Please develop a marketing strategy for this client based on your STP strategy. The following marketing strategy elements are interdependent and are crucial components of a successful marketing plan. Click each component for more in-depth information branding strategies—Describe the needs and wants of your target customers and how you intend to position the offerings versus the competition. Present a detailed description of the different types of products or services that you intend to sell in the US market, including their attributes, features, and quality level, along with the brand names, intended packaging, logo, and supplemental products and services. As you make these branding strategy decisions, it is imperative that you stay focused on the customer. Remember that the company's customers do not buy features; they buy benefits, both tangible and intangible. It is also critical to understand the customer: think about who makes the purchase and who influences that decision. pricing strategy—Pricing is very strategic, as it is the only marketing mix variable that generates income. As a marketing team, you need to decide on your price objectives and strategies. Think about pricing tactics like discounts and incentives. You need to decide whether your pricing strategy should be skimming, premium, or market penetration given the nature of the offerings, your customers, and your major competition. Profit margins and breakeven analysis will also need to be considered. As you determine your final price points, you'll need to consider the perceived value of your offerings. Describe how you would go about making these decisions as well as the major issues involved. distribution and supply chain strategy—Is it easy to transport your offerings, or are there issues involved in delivering them to the final user? These strategic decisions deal with how customers purchase your products or services. Will you market your products or services directly to your customers or through intermediaries like distributors and wholesalers? Will you follow an exclusive, selective, or intensive distribution? Distribution decisions focus on marketing channels as well as the physical distribution of the offerings. Explain the criteria you would use to make these distribution and supply chain strategy decisions. integrated marketing communications—This is often the most visible element of a marketing strategy. The company's communication strategy involves developing an integrative mix of a number of different tools, while keeping in mind the needs and characteristics of the target market. These tools may include a mix of traditional communication elements such as advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, and publicity and public relations. It is essential that your promotion objectives are clearly defined, and that a holistic and integrated marketing communication approach is used. Support your work with scholarly sources and reliable nonscholarly sources such as Reuters, Bloomberg, Yahoo! Finance, Barrons.com, Morningstar.com, Money, Forbes, Fortune, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review, as well as the UMGC Library databases such as Hoover's and ABI/INFORM.

Each student will select one of the key terms and conduct a search of online Library resources to find one recent peer-reviewed article (within the past 3 years) that closely relates to the key term you select. These assignments will be due at 11:59 p.m. EST on the first Sunday during the Module in which they are assigned. NOTE: Use only the article you select as the sole source for these assignments. Do not add any additional source material.  Your submission must include the following information in the following format: DEFINITION: a brief definition of the key term – (the definition should come from the article) SUMMARY: Summarize the article in your own words- this should be in the 150-200-word range. Be sure to note the article's author, note their credentials and why we should put any weight behind his/her opinions, research, or findings regarding the key term. DISCUSSION: Using 300-350 words, analyze the article as it relates to the selected key term. This is the most important part of the assignment. Analyzing articles is an opportunity to delve into organizations to determine best practices. As pertains to Business Ethics, it is an opportunity to discover whether organizations engage in ethical business practices. Corporate Social Responsibility is a way to learn whether organizations take responsibility for their roles in business and are held accountable for their actions…whether good or bad. Organizations in and of themselves are just things. However, when you add people to them, they then become what are known as living and learning organizations – aka knowledge organizations.  REFERENCE: The source for the analysis must be listed at the bottom of the submission – APA format required. Use only peer-reviewed journal articles for these assignments. Refrain from using texts, blogs, .com’s, or other unreliable internet sources. Any form of plagiarism, including cutting and pasting, will result in zero points for the entire assignment. Further, any flagged documents will result in zero points for the assignment. Flagged documents mean that an attempt at plagiarism exists, or manipulation of the Turnitin process has been attempted. This is unacceptable conduct and will not be tolerated. When analyzing articles think about the following: 1. What key term was chosen by the author? 2. What is the significance of this key term? 3. What are the theoretical underpinnings for why this key term was chosen? 4. What key finding did the author of the article discuss regarding the key term as it applies to organizations in regard to business ethics? 5. What conclusion can you infer from the article?

Description When  completing this assignment, review the Pulse candy reading. The link to the Harvard Business Course pack for this Pulse candy project reading is: hbsp.harvard.edu.It is the Strategic marketing section by Dr. Lisi. ,or JWU - ELisi - MRKT5500, Summer 2, 2024. APA 7th Edition.       This week you will conduct a marketing audit of Pulse Candy, where you will review their marketing activities. Pulse Candy is the company you will be working on for your group's semester project. This assignment will introduce you to the company and will provide the backbone of your analysis for the semester project on Pulse Candy. This is a group project and you will work in the groups that you chose in week 1. Based on the Marketing Activities exhibit 9.6, page 256 of the textbook, conduct a marketing audit of Pulse Candy, focus in on the first section, Marketing Activities and complete the following three questions: In what specific marketing activities is the company currently engaged? Are these activities conducted solely by the company, or are some provided by outside contractors (either domestically or offshore)? If outside contractors are used, how are they performing? Should any of these outside activities be brought in-house? What marketing activities do its competitors conduct that Pulse does not offer? What additional marketing activities do customers want, need, or expect? Review sections 2 through 6, you might not know about the customer service or marketing personal - however you can utilize social media to evaluate if you can answer any of the other questions, if so include those answers. For example if you see a number of online complaints about a specific issue that could mean there is an issue with their customer support systems, or possibly a quality issue with a product, etc.. You want to critically analyze Pulse Candy's social media to see where there is a shortfall happening within their marketing activities. You can use the databases provided in the Library Research & Help to conduct additional research on Pulse Candy's marketing activities. The following databases may prove particularly useful: Business Source Complete Statista Brand Catalyst  Take your answers to the three questions and any additional evidence you have found in regard to sections 2 through 6 and turn your results into a visual presentation using Canva, which provides templates for creating visual marketing audits. Since there will be no audio recording to accompany what you create in Canva, you'll need to let the slides convey your responses to the three questions. But please don't just provide what you would put otherwise put in a Word document. Make it a presentation... graphics, color, etc. to engage your audience. If you like, you can use "infographic-type" images to support your slides. Submit at least 6 Canva slides but no more than 12. Although you are not yet identifying exactly what your new product will be nor who your target audience for it will be, you should be thinking about that as you complete this week's assignment, per the project guidelines that were provided in Week 1... and also attached above.

Description Strategic Marketing Plan The Company I chose is Arcteryx The major project of the course is a comprehensive Strategic Marketing Plan for either an organization you work for, an organization you wished you worked for, or a start-up company you might like to get going. The Plan is worth 200 points and is due by 11:59 pm CT Friday of Week 8. Open the following panel to view details on each required section of the Plan: STRATEGIC MARKETING PLAN OUTLINED Executive Summary:10 pts. (200-300 words) After completing your plan, highlight the key aspects of your marketing plan. What are your goals; who are your targets; and what are the highlights of your strategy and tactics? Situation Analysis: 20 pts. (300-400 words) This is the analysis of the current state of the business, the economy, the competition, the society, and more. Whatever is important to the business should be reported here as the starting point for the business and marketing plan. Often, the analysis is broken down into factors that are intrinsic to the firm, and others that are extrinsic to the firm. Included in this analysis, but certainly not limited to these ideas, are the following. INTRINSIC State of the firm and SWOT analysis Industry analysis and competition Customers: an explanation of market needs, trends, and growth Publics (suppliers; employees; general public, etc.) EXTRINSIC State of the economy Political Legislative Regulatory Technology Environmental Ethical Assemble the facts of the situation which will be the basis for planning for the future of your organization. Goals: 15 pts. (300-400 words) What do you want to achieve by the execution of your marketing plan? You may have separate goals tied to the various actions, such as advertising, new product development, and more. But overall, what do you want to achieve? Your overall goals should include or consider: Increase total revenue and profitability Increase share of market Expansion into new businesses or markets Customer satisfaction improvement Brand recognition Loyalty and retention Customer acquisition Please develop a quantified baseline and a goal for each major activity. Consider including goals for the various aspects of the market mix as you write your plan. For example, pricing goals could be specified in order to align strategies to achieve these goals. Target Markets: 25 pts. (400-500 words) Segment the total marketplace into smaller potential targets. Eliminate some and consider several for potential targeting and development. Targeting criteria might include any or all of the following, or your own criteria specific to your firm. Overall size of the target Consumer behavior within the target that proves their desire to purchase our offering or the ability of our firm to create value for the target Accessibility to reach the target Potential reception of messaging Ability to pay the anticipated price for the offering Competitive scenario; ability to differentiate and gain relevancy Define and then rank order your candidates for targeting. Select initial targets, explaining why you chose specific groups. Value Proposition: 40 pts. (500-600 words) Once you have defined your target, how will you create value for this market? Create a document reviewing the pains, gains, and tasks associated with each target. Use the design thinking approach to process each pain, gain, or task by considering; Current situation (what is) Think creatively and offer innovative solutions, what might be changed to increase and differentiate our value (what if) What might wow the customers based on your “what if” ideas (what WOW’s): be innovative What is actually feasible. Create a written description of the offering to test with your target ((what’s feasible) Do a reality check, given the present ethical environment, discuss how this solution is ethically responsible considering the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit. Your eventual mix of products and services is called the offering. Define that offering as created for your target. Tactics: 40 pts.(500-700 words) PRODUCTS AND SERVICES Define the product or service Brand: what are the attributes of the brand? Price: indicate the price(s) of your offering Incentives: describe any incentives offered COMMUNICATION PLAN Now that you have your product offering ready, how will you communicate and deliver your offering in such a way as to achieve your overall goals? What is your message and promise to your customers? How will your branding strategy achieve communication goals such as awareness, likability, trial, and purchases? Which communication channels will help you reach your target to include consideration of radio, TV, print, social media, and other digital channels? How will you use public relations, advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, direct, content marketing, mobile, search, sponsorship, etc. to get your message across? DISTRIBUTION PLAN How will you move your product to your customers? Which channels will you employ to distribute your offering? Approaches might include Omni channel, multichannel, exclusive channels, and other strategies Packaging is yet another consideration in the tactics for distribution. Retail strategies, including both brick-and-mortar as well as online retail. Consider the complete supply and value chain and add additional value anywhere you can. Be specific regarding your communications and distribution strategies and tactics Implementation: 25 pts. (300-400 words) You are asked here to identify the resources you will need to accomplish the plan. Include both human and financial resources. Also, what are your information and research needs to help you make the best marketing decisions? A rough budget should be attempted. Please note the intent of this section is to get you to consider these aspects of planning. Give it a try but go at it in a rough or estimated approach. Control: 10 pts. (300-400 words) Your controls can be at various levels of your plan. Measures should be included for each of the primary company goals that you identified in the section on goals earlier. You can also include an attempt at outlining a marketing dashboard as defined on pages 113 and 114. Exhibits: 15 pts. Provide all helpful charts, graphs, and other resources that you found useful in the creation of this plan. Links to resources will be helpful to give your plan a special robustness. Description Purpose:  The purpose of a case study is to learn how to take a real-life business situation and make recommendations by doing research and applying the terms and concepts covered in this class. Brief Overview:  You will provide an analysis of the case along with recommendations for addressing the case.  Your framing, analysis and recommendations for the case will be supported by outside research and documented with in-text citations and a Works Cited or a Reference page. Required Sections:  Please label the sections of your case. Framing the Case:  Write a brief overview (no more than 150 words) of the case.  Do not repeat the history (what is in the case). Issues and Opportunities: Discuss the issues and opportunities present in the case.  Assumptions: state the assumptions you are making about the case. Addressing Issues and Opportunities: List the various ways that the issues and opportunities could be addressed, including a list of Pros and Cons for each item in the list. Recommendation and Justification: State your recommendation for addressing the case, along with a justification for your recommendation. Research and Citation:  The assignment requires outside research, meaning you need to find and cite sources outside of the course textbook.  A successful Case Study assignment will likely employ 3-4 sources for undergraduate case studies and 6-7 sources for graduate case studies.  You should use business databases to find relevant sources.  A few good examples would be:  LexisNexis, Bloomberg, Statista, EBSCOhost, and D&B Hoovers.  (Wikipedia is NOT a valid source)  All citations should follow either MLA or APA citation style. Additional Requirements and Helpful Tips Do not include the answers to the questions in the case analysis unless they apply to what you are writing about.  Even if you do not think you need it, you should run your Case Study through a grammar checker and a spell checker in addition to proofreading carefully before submitting.

Description Requirements: Pick an organisation of your choice (you will need to avoid companies listed in the module handbook list) operating in any industry, profit or not-for-profit. You are working for a marketing consultancy firm. Your consultancy firm has been brought in to analyse and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on how the organisation can improve their social and environmental sustainability. Through your own secondary research, critically analyse their current approaches to sustainability marketing. Using theories and frameworks from the module to analyse and audit their marketing mix approaches and practices (e.g product, place, physical evidence, people and promotion). Produce a 3,000 word REPORT evaluating how the organisation incorporates sustainability (triple bottom line) factors into their marketing approach and suggesting improvements. From your analysis, you need to make suggestions on how the organisation can improve their sustainability marketing efforts by making recommendations to the sustainability marketing mix for the organisation. There are no specific guidelines for word weightings, but as a guide: Introduction to organisation by exploring/evaluating its ethos, values and mission (10%) How the organisation currently incorporates social and environmental objectives into their marketing strategy (an evaluation of current practices) (45%). You need to explore the marketing mix here. Choose 3 areas out of four suggested: Product or Service evaluation (15%) Consumer targeting and decision making (eg. vulnerable consumers, green consumers, gender issues, inclusivity etc) (15%) Place/Distribution and supply chain (15%) (part of the Circular economy model (eg. https://www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org/topics/circular-economy-introduction/overview) Promotion (eg communication via social media and other platforms) (15%) Product or Service evaluation (15%) Consumer targeting and decision making (eg. vulnerable consumers, green consumers, gender issues, inclusivity etc) (15%) Place/Distribution and supply chain (15%) (part of the Circular economy model (eg. https://www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org/topics/circular-economy-introduction/overview) Promotion (eg communication via social media and other platforms) (15%) 3. Recommendations for improvements in the Sustainability Marketing mix (45%) Recommendations should be offered to three areas (out of 4) Important issues to note: Please consult the module leader (Dr Panayiota Julie Alevizou) of your company before proceeding too far in your assignment to determine the suitability of that organisation. You will be expected to use a range of different sources to research your organisation, not just information from your chosen company’s website (please see module handbook for a list of sources). Be sure that your answer uses theories and concepts from both the module and your own wider reading about sustainability marketing and ethical theory (sustainability marketing framework, triple bottom line, frameworks explored in class, consumption behaviour, sustainability values, objectives and strategy). Make sure you analyse the evidence of your company using the aforementioned concepts and theories. You must provide evidence, as well as the wider literature to support your recommendations for a new sustainability marketing mix COMPANIES TO AVOID FOR THE INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT COMPANIES TO AVOID FOR THE INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT Companies to avoid in your individual assignment but you may wish to use them for the seminars as examples. Description "Consumer Behavior Blog Post – The influences of social media on attitude-toward-the -object approach? " Social media has impacted our lives in many ways; it is an important communication tool that people use to connect with other people or organizations. Consumers use social media to share their experiences, reviews, advice, warnings, tips and any other information that may be appealing to their “connections” or "friends". This shared information can often be a helpful source which may influence consumers' decision-making. Based on what you've learned, how does social media influence a consumer's attitude towards a brand or advertisements? Has social media affected your purchasing decisions or opinion of a brand? Your blog entry should be approximately two to three paragraphs in length. Additionally, be sure to respond to the blog entries created by two (2) of your peers. RESPOND TO THESE POSTS AS WELL: Huff  RE: Week 7 Discussion COLLAPSE Overall Rating: 1 2 3 4 5 Your Rating: 1 2 3 4 5 Based on what you've learned, how does social media influence a consumer's attitude towards a brand or advertisements? Has social media affected your purchasing decisions or opinion of a brand? From the beginning social media started out as websites for people to reconnect with family/friends and to post photos. As time and demand has evolved, the social media platforms have turned mostly into a business format. and what I mean by that is social media are a key component for businesses for their marketing strategies. According to sprout social, 74% of shoppers make their decisions based on social media (socialmediaweek, 2017). Social Media influences a consumer's attitude towards a brand by word of mouth from family/friends, celebrities, and or how many people are following that particular brand. For instance, when a celebrity is sponsored by a company and promotes it via Instagram, etc, people are liable to buy from what that celebrity says and they could be lying.  Social media affects my purchasing decisions and opinion of a brand all the time. I started buying clothes from this website called Fashion Nova (Instagram boutique) because based on the reviews how good their jeans are. Other times I wouldn't buy a product because of bad reviews. Bad reviews definitely can have a affect on a customer purchase.  https://socialmediaweek.org/blog/2017/05/social-media-influencing-purchase-decisions/  AND THIS ONE: Ramsey  RE: Week 7 Discussion COLLAPSE Overall Rating: 1 2 3 4 5 Your Rating: 1 2 3 4 5 Friends and family definitely influence some of my consumer behavior. One of the reasons is because I know and trust their opinions. The level of influence depends on the person and the service/product. I have several "friends" on social media that I consider fellow foodies- if they post about a restaurant experience I take note. Just the same if some of my "friends" that workout post about a new workout, gym or workout product- I will take note.  The interesting thing is- I tend to be influenced more from a positive post than a negative one. So if someone posts about how great the food was at a new place- it makes me want to try it- but if someone post about poor service or the food not being impressive- I tend to want to take a chance or see for myself.
