Assume the role of a director of digital content for a new online service that i ...

Assume the role of a director of digital content for a new online service that is exploring the establishment of a streaming content outlet/platform. The outlet would be accessible via the open internet and leverage apps, including mobile device apps and apps for over-the-top (OTT) devices, such as Roku, Chrome, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire or similar services, as the point of access for its consumers. You will prepare an analysis pitch presentation to executive senior management for their consideration and approval. Your 10- to 15-slide presentation, with speaker notes and additional intro, outro, and references slides, should reflect the online service’s overall brand image, message, and brand voice. The speaker notes should provide additional content and support information that is not found on the slides (e.g., do not simply repeat what the slide says). Consider elements such as colors, fonts, branding, choice of terms, slogan, and descriptive language, as these are all differentiating elements in the marketplace. Avoid proprietary jargon, when possible. A reference slide should cite source information in APA format. The pitch should incorporate the following elements: Media Content Type Establish which of the following media content types will be your product’s primary focus area and whether the chosen content will be short-form or long-form content: Primarily user-generated content (UGC); or Primarily professionally-produced content (PPC); or UGC and PPC (mixed, hybrid format). Justify the content type you chose by comparing and contrasting the value of the selected content type from the other content types, based on all the following criteria: Brand voice Value of the content as a library as well as new posted content (i.e., demand) Potential reasons and solutions for digital inequality (e.g., where you are not connecting to the total audience/demographic) Potential for growth Content Distribution Method Describe the intended distribution business model of content exploitation. For example, this could be content distributed to mobile devices via apps, and/or through OTT devices such as Roku, Apple TV, or a branded or themed linear channel, as found on Peacock or Pluto TV. Correlate your potential exhibition or distribution business models with current market leaders in that area of content exploitation, along with the potential issues and benefits from that relationship. Establish if your plan will be a direct-to-consumer (D2C) offering or engage the consumer through legacy channels. Compare your choice with recent D2C offerings and the current legacy media alternatives. Consider and outline any potential competitors in the targeted space and potential impacts to your efforts. In your analysis, consider how price, technology availability, potential consumer inequities, including consumer socioeconomic status affect your decision. Content Production Outline a brief plan for the content production pipeline, illustrating where potential production savings and other financial impacts could be realized by leveraging new production methods, such as virtual production technologies, cloud-based services, etc. Assess the value of producing and/or owning the content in the market versus licensing content owned by other companies for this platform, including any advantages of niche markets, potential library advantages, if any, and benefits of consumer engagement. Ethical and Equitable Considerations Analyze any market advantages the platform can gain by producing and exploiting diverse and inclusive content. Evaluate if the new venture has a moral, ethical and/or equitable responsibility in terms of the content being created, licensed, and exploited and determine what that role could be in the marketplace, and in comparison to any competitors. Weigh the ethical and equitable considerations of exploiting content through the open internet as the main distribution method for this platform (as opposed to using legacy distribution methods such as cable or over-the-air distribution), and in using certain production technologies in connection with the content produced for this platform

there are 2 examples of 2 students giving their opinions in regard to the follow ...

there are 2 examples of 2 students giving their opinions in regard to the following question, Analyzing the demographics of an audience is important for any presentation. What are some of the demographics that should be considered?  Student 1: Before giving a presentation, it is important to do an audience analysis, so you are aware of the audience you are targeting. Some examples of demographics that should be considered are age, gender, religion, education level, income, and occupation. Knowing the age range of your audience can help you determine “what stage of life events that they may be experiencing, such as raising a family or preparing for retirement.”. (McQuail, D. (1997)) Gender provides subtle influences on demands for various products, and their needs and desires. Gauging the right level of communication for your speech is a challenge but is important. Not everyone that you are speaking to has the same education level as others. So, it is crucial not to talk down or use fancy words to impress the audience that may leave them confused. By using geographic location this can help you determine the financial status of your audience. There may be times when you will have a diverse audience, using a variety of different supporting materials will help you deliver your presentation at a broader level. (Mottet, & Beebe, 2013, pg.262). Relying on visual materials can help communicate universal messages. Another strategy that you can implement is seeking common ground with the audience, by identifying their values. (Mottet, & Beebe, 2013, pg.262)  Student 2: Demographics refers to the makeup of the audience you are presenting to. Prior to any presentation, it is important to perform demographic analysis. Factors such as age, gender identification, location, education, and income are important to consider. This will help you tailor the information to the audience. It will also help minimize the risk of unintentionally offending or alienating part of your audience. Based on the results of the demographics analysis, certain assumptions can be implied about the audience. As referenced in our previous chapters, various cultures have different means of engaging. Men and women receive information differently. People of different socioeconomic statuses have different needs. As a presenter, being knowledgeable and respectful of the customs helps you connect with your audience. The more you know about the associations of your audience members, the better prepared you will be to tailor your speech to their interests, expectations, and needs. (Wrench, Johnson, & Attias, 2016, 5.2) The goal is to place the right messages in front of the right people at the right time. (O'Neil, 2021) Although the information is important, the delivery is what ultimately ensures the message is received. Having a targeted message tailored to the audience in front of you ensures your message is properly received.

Develop an activity that allows the staff audience to practice and ask questions about these new processes and skills. In the notes section of your PowerPoint, brainstorm potential responses to likely questions or concerns Presentation length: There is no required length; use just enough slides to address all the necessary elements. Remember to use short, concise bullet points on the slides and expand on your points in the presenter's notes. If you use 2 or 3 slides to address each of the parts in the above example, your presentation would be at least 10 slides and no more than 15 slides (not including the title, conclusion, or references slides). This presentation does NOT require audio or a transcript. Another presenter would be able to use the presentation by following the speaker's notes.

Motivating Employees A major influence on job performance is motivation. There are several theories explaining the concept of motivation (expectancy theory, ERG theory, reinforcement theory, etc.). Select one of the following three scenarios to use as a framework for your discussion. In your post, apply a specific motivational theory to one of the three scenarios. Complete an analysis of the motivational theory using the scenario as a framework for your discussion. Scenario A You are a manager at a manufacturing plant forced to reduce 25% of its workforce due to budget constraints caused in part by the increased prices of a raw material. The vast majority of the tasks once performed by employees are now outsourced to India. Consequently, your remaining workforce has suffered a significant lack of motivation. It is your task to move the remaining team forward under the current circumstances ensuring weekly quotas are reached and none of the production numbers suffer. Scenario B You are a call center representative working at a mortgage company struggling to keep up with the increased regulations and compliance guidelines imposed to better control this industry. Recently, a junior level manager was promoted to a Vice President (VP) position, much to the surprise of all the employees. The employee perception was that the promotion was unfair and that the chosen candidate lacks the experience and the “people skills” required to excel in the new role. The first few emails from the newly promoted VP set the stage for a less flexible, “numbers driven” environment, potentially negatively impacting employees’ work-life balance. You desperately need this job as a single parent raising three kids. Scenario C You have been employed at the same company for 20 years. You have come to terms with the fact that you have no promotional opportunities here and you are at a “dead end job.” You contemplated changing jobs a few times in the last few years, but some of the reasons you stay include a manageable work load, flexible work hours, friendly co-workers, and a supportive upper management team. Yet, you are not motivated to go above and beyond the expectations identified for your position and job description.
