Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025-2030 Development Process. Please, read about the development process of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. There is a lot of information related to the history and why they were developed. You have some prompt questions to guide you, but there is more information, if you want to expand: **What are the Dietary Guidelines for Americans? **What is the purpose? **What is the process to develop the latest 2025-2030 Guidelines? *** How are the committee members selected? *** How is the evidence examined? *** Can the community get involved? https://www.dietaryguidelines.gov/
You will pick a minimum of 3-4 muscles from each of the 6 groups of muscles found below. You will then find images of muscles online and create a presentation using a program like PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, or Prezi
Each section should be roughly two paragraphs long. Attached below are the questions that need to be answered and all the instructions on what needs to be included in the report. Attached are also 2 spreadsheets that are needed in order to complete the report. Only refer to the bottom of the two spreadsheets where it shows my group name which is "Pasha, Ariel, Jayden, Yair, and Andia." The numbers next to that group name are the only data needed to write this report. Attatched is also a picture of our expirement which you will need to include in the report with a brief description. Materials used in this lab: - Planting Trays - Soil - Gloves - Pots - Water - Brown mustard seeds - California Poppy seeds - Drying Oven We had mixed-species pots that consisted of 2 poppy seeds and 2 mustard seeds per pot. Each group had 24 pots in total. This lab took place in our Santa Monica College (SMC) lab. After starting the lab, we visited the greenhouse on SMC campus to check if the mustard seeds interfered with the germination of the poppy seeds. In the control group, we used a total of 12 pots, and in the experiment another 12 pots. We put 4 seeds in each pot for the control group which was the poppy seeds. In the experimental group, we put 2 poppy seeds and 2 mustard seeds in each pot. Some pots didn't germinate well so on the spreadsheet under "seeds germinated" you'll notice how in some pots seeds didn't germinate so we didn't count it.
Discussion 1: Choose a sport or exercise-related skill that you perform regularly. You could select a particular leg exercise at the gym, a particular movement in yoga, or a specific sport skill like throwing a ball or shooting a puck. Identify and describe the following features of the skill you choose: The plane or planes the skill occurs in Classification of the movement environment The types of movement involved To help you with this analysis, please review the slides from Chapter 2. Discussion 2: Please enjoy the video clip of Akebono Taro, one of the greatest sumo wrestlers in history. While you may not be able to understand the commentary, you will certainly be able to appreciate the talent and athleticism. Once you've watched the video, respond to the following in your discussion post keeping in mind that Akebonohas a body mass of 236kg and is 203 cm tall: What is his BMI? Find a classification table for BMI and classify him in terms of disease risk. What disease/s is he at risk? What is his somatotype and what led you to classify him this way? Why are these classifications not necessarily a bad thing for him?
1. Draw the cell on the right (note that the letters indicate the gene and alleles present in each chromosome, show those letters on every drawing) as it goes from the G1 phase, to the S phase, G2 and then every phase in meiosis. Indicate the main things that happen to its chromosomes at each stage (label: sister chromatids, homologous chromosomes, Meiosis I, Meiosis II, identify which cells are haploid and which are diploid). Draw it in paper and upload a photo or scan, post it as an image not as a file to the discussion post (use the image icon to upload). [send image] 2. Based on the diagram you drew above: A) Which events are unique to meiosis. B) The main purpose of sexual reproduction is to produce genetic variation in the offspring. Explain at least 3 ways in which meiosis promotes genetic variation. C) Explain which events in meiosis are responsible for the principle on segregation and which events are responsible for the principle of independent assortment. A) Based on this pedigree, what type of inheritance does this genetic condition have (dominant, recessive, sex-linked)? Explain. B) What is the genotype of the parents? C) What makes an allele dominant or recessive? [send image]
Week 7 Discussion Credit: https://medium.com/@agileexpat/few-thoughts-about-communities-of-practice-fa5c4ed583f2 This week let’s discuss what a community of practice is. Why are they important and how can they impact the culture within an organization? Have you ever needed to research a technical issue and found yourself on a community web page where others have expressed a similar issue and receive responses from the community to aid in addressing the issue? What about professional organizations which publish how-to steps for technical concepts? Please provide examples in your response where such resources can be helpful to others in the IT community.
Question 1: Family engagement is key for providing services to students with disabilities. There are at times challenges to the collaboration due to family background and culture. As you consider the cultural values differences table in the module, choose 3 strategies that you will use to minimize negative views, biases, or stereotypes that may result and influence high levels of family engagement through cultural responsiveness both in teaching and transitioning? Why did you choose them? Question 2: Effects of Racism, Stereotyping, and Discrimination - describe the effects of racism, stereotyping, and discrimination in teaching and learning of ELLs from diverse family backgrounds and at varying English level proficiency. Question 3: 1 paragraph that describe a core value of responsibility and how it relates to the questions above Student example we used was a girl named TJ, 17 year old senior in high school from Haiti. Has intelligible speech but struggles with higher level vocabulary and communication.
Subject - 2024 Spring - Organ Leader & Decision Making (ITS-630-M30) - Full Term Week 15 Discussion After completing the reading this week, we reflect on a few key concepts this week: Discuss Howell and Mendez’s three perspectives on followership. Note how these behaviors influence work productivity. What is the big five personality model? What is the Myers-Briggs test? How is it similar to the Big five model? How is it different than the Big five model?
In the present assignment for the Complete Paper, you will provide an elaboration of your chosen Film Assignment that you identified in your Paper Topic. You will expand your shorter Film Assignment into a longer paper. You have already set up a structure with five paragraphs (which is a standard 1-3-1 framework for a paper); you can now think of these "paragraphs" as being expanded to "sections" (or "pages"). Not every paragraph will end up as exactly 1 section or 1 page, and they will not all be exactly the same in length. But the basic structure is there. Your task is to elaborate and include more support for your point. To do that, you will need to: explain more about the film and its issues as they relate to your point, incorporate more about environmental concepts from the textbook
