please respond to Edward with 150. words Good Morning Everyone, 1. My name is Edward. I am a 26 year old husband and father, and I'm also a USMC veteran. I've been married to my wonderful wife Alix for 6 years, with at least 60 more to go. We have a 1 year old son named EJ, and he's the most awesome little man out there. I'm a jet engine technician at an industry leading jet engine manufacturer, and I love every second of my job. 2. One thing I enjoy doing outside of work is hiking, My wife and I have logged close to 20 miles on trails near us in the past month, and we climbed to the peak of Thunder Mountain (We would have hiked to the top of Mt. Baldy, but the peak was closed when we went). I also enjoy video games, being a huge fan of the Red Dead Redemption franchise. 3. As far as educational goals go, I have already attained my FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate, and I'm finishing up my associate's degree. I am majoring in Aviation Maintenance Technology. I plan to take a brief break from classes after attaining my AS, and continue on to pursue a bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering. I've been fascinated by aviation since I was a young boy, and have worked in the field in some capacity since I was 18. 4. I'm taking Math 132 this semester because it is one of the last classes that are required for me to graduate, and this one was the soonest available class that met the graduation

please respond to llaria. with 150 words Hello Everyone! 1. My name is Ilaria, though I usually go by Izzy. I am an 18-year-old 3-year high school graduate, and I do freelance art as a job as well as babysitting for families at my church. I currently live with my parents but plan to move out with my fiance once we graduate with our VVC associates. 2. I absolutely love to draw, that is my passion. I express myself through art and creative writing, creating stories, writing books, and character design. Another hobby I have is cooking and baking, it is very rewarding to spend time crafting a meal for someone as a gift or just because, and seeing how much they enjoy it. 3. Here at VVC I plan on graduating with an associates in Fine Arts and stopping there. I originally didn't plan to go to college, I don't consider myself a very academically gifted person, but after giving it enough thought I decided it would be the best course of action to get one to help me with employment in the future and honing my artistic skills. In the future, I am hoping to be a stay-at-home mother, but until my fiance gets on his feet and can provide solely for the two of us, I will more than happily help work. 4. I have never been one to enjoy math, and I am not the most skilled in it. However, I chose to take this class not only because it was required, but also because I hope to get better and improve myself. I am hoping this class is simple enough to help me learn while also keeping me challenged.

How to Get the Most Out of Studying Consider the following statement "Effective studying is more than just a matter of having a desire to learn and devoting sufficient time and effort. Students have to utilize effective learning strategies. If they use ineffective strategies, they can study long and hard and still fail." -Dr. Stephen Chew, Professor of Psychology at Samford University. Our goal, of course, is that your hard work be accompanied by success, including on the midterm! To this end, you will watch the following FOUR videos by Dr. Stephen Chew on "How to Get the Most Out of Studying" this week and respond to the following discussion prompt The videos are linked at the bottom of the page here. What are some effective strategies Dr. Chew mentions that you can (or already do, if applicable) employ to improve the quality of your note-taking and/or studying leading up to the midterm? Be specific! Do you do any of the ineffective methods Dr. Chew mentions? What bad habits do you have that might need to be changes? What changes will you need to make to your note-taking and study habits? How and when will you implement these changes? please respond to Carolina. with 150. words He mentions that the more accurate our believes are the more effective they are. Always planning for our assignments that we actually think they are going to take. He also mentions that memorization doesn't beat comprehension. He mentions "metacognition" and informs us that we shouldn't just assume were going to do well because it doesn't always give us that end result and hoped we would have put more effort initially. The key strategy I have learned in my life is like he mentioned that we should be trying to recall the information on our own and saying it out loud to ourselves or getting tested by others. That is most definitely my go to strategy when I can get someone to help me out. Intentional learning plays a huge role in actually being able to process the information, however if we use a "shallow" level of studying like memorization etc. will not help us recall the information. Therefore, he concludes that neither of these are actually important. In the end he concludes that when wanting to learn the only thing that actually play a huge factor are "what is it that you are actually thinking about when learning. I struggle so very much with attention span! I will be watching a video or reading a book, and I find myself going into airplane mode and won't even realize it is happening until I'm just about done and have to start all over! It's the worse. In the end these are all skills that take time to develop. He adds that "over learning" is the best thing to do so that you can later recall it easier. Utilizing effective strategies should be our focus. I can say that when I do not prioritize my time or plan ahead, I definitely try and crash course it a day or 2 before and "memorize" as much as I can and often times it leads to a disappointing grade. To say the least, I have learned my lesson the hard way. I have focused on learning my own self and from that I now know that when I note take, I only write what I know I will need to go over later, and I get very specific! Once I get home, I review it and test myself until I can do it without looking at my notes. Overall Dr. Chew definitely knows what he is talking about and makes some great points.

Description MBA 645 Milestone One Guidelines and Rubric Overview You are the regional marketing director of a theme park in the southeastern United States that is part of a global brand. The chief marketing officer (CMO) of global operations has called upon you to help coordinate the marketing tasks related to rolling out an emergency response due to a recent safety and injury incident at one of the parks resulting in serious injuries to employees and customers. The parks were closed immediately following the incident to ensure safety measures for customers and employees and to deploy the needed safety measures. Now, as the theme park is all set to reopen, the CMO has called you to take a lead in planning the marketing strategy for the same. Your responsibility is to design a phased strategy for marketing and the reopening of all parks. Your strategy should address critical objectives such as maximum safety, crisis communication, customer satisfaction, and profit potential. You must coordinate marketing strategy with corporate strategy, as failure or success of the marketing strategy can have a direct impact on the brand. As a first step, you will perform an analysis to understand the implications of reopening on brand equity. In this analysis, you will identify the groups of stakeholders that are affected by the reopening and also plan the communication strategy for before and after the parks’ reopening. Also, you will identify the roles and responsibilities of key functional departments that are going to play an important role in the reopening process. This analysis will help you develop a strategic marketing plan to address the reopening of the park and also to develop an effective crisis communication plan. In this milestone, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that will include brand analysis and the implications of reopening on the brand equity and functional departments, including their roles and responsibilities in the reopening process. Prompt Brand Analysis and Implications—In this part of the project, you will present the brand implications of reopening the park in the course scenario. Your presentation should include the following critical factors: Determine the essential factors that can impact brand equity when reopening the park (Slides 1–3) Define brand equity and explain its importance to the organization (Slide 1). Provide positive implications (Slide 2): Safety concerns addressed and communicated Community and local government support for reopening Employee support for reopening Provide negative implications (Slide 3): Social media negative reactions Employee negative concerns Operational concerns for safety Describe the strategic communication plan that should occur before and after the park reopens. Your responses should address the following (Slides 4–8): Identify three key stakeholder groups from this list and describe each stakeholder’s interest in the organization: Employees Customers Government agencies Communities Vendors Describe their communication needs. Identify the best mode for communicating with them based on their needs, including how you will take feedback from stakeholders. Describe what impact reopening the park could have on each identified stakeholder (low, medium, or high). Why? Functional Departmental Roles and Responsibilities—In this part of the project, you will identify the functional department and describe their roles and responsibilities in making the reopening of the park a success. Your presentation should include the following critical factors (Slides 9–12): Identify three functional departments, including marketing, which play a significant role in the reopening process. Consider which departments will be most engaged in the reopening process. Describe the roles and responsibilities of these functional departments in the safe and successful process of reopening the park (Slides 9-10). Select at least three legal and ethical considerations outlined in the memo from legal team. Explain why each of these considerations is important to factor in when reopening the park (Slides 11-12). What to Submit ***Submit a narrated PowerPoint presentation with 10–12 slides. Consult the Shapiro Library APA Style Guide and FAQ: Where Can I Find Information on APA Style and PowerPoint Presentations for more information. Note: In addition to the text on the slides, remember to include audio narration in your PowerPoint presentations to convey your information effectively. If due to technical challenges, audio narration is not possible, precise and extensive speaker notes should be used to address all the critical elements in the presentation. For example, you can use brief bulleted lists on the slide and include detailed explanations in your audio narration or speaker notes. Description A recent study found that when ordered to stop using Facebook for a week, a group of participants experienced increased levels of "happiness" and lowered levels of stress or depression. So what is really going on? On one hand, we are "high" on social media and instant gratification. On the other, the very same stimulants that reward us when experiencing instant gratification cause us to be sadder, more preoccupied, or stressed. Has social media become an unhealthy method of communication? Do marketers exploit this "digital drug" that acts too much like an abusive substance? People who stop "cold-turkey" initially experience withdrawal and anxiety, before feeling happy and relaxed after an extended period. So based on your knowledge and use of Social Media, and on the statement from L1 (about marketing not being manipulative, it just learns how to be influential), can social media marketing be an abusive marketing tool? Where do we draw the line, if there should be one at all? Please submit a 2-page, dbl-spaced, font-12 response, with supporting citations (5 minimum) for your arguments and answers. https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/staying-off-facebook-can-make-you-happier-study-claims- a6728056.html https://www.ama.org/marketing-news/marketings-ethical-line-between-social-media-habit-and-addiction/

Description Module 2's lecture featured the human brain, its main regions, and some of its inner structures, within the Limbic System. We also saw an interesting video on Edi Guyton, the lady who underwent an experimental procedure and had electrodes implanted in her brain. Why show you students this video (aside from the fact that it is an incredible story)? Well think about how important the regions of the brain related to emotions are. Ever heard of System 1 and System 2 Cognitive Processing? Think of them as the cartoonish little devil and angel sitting on your shoulders. System 1 is automatic, fast, impulsive, highly emotional. It accounts for 95% of our decision-making. System 2 is slower, cognitive, logical or rational. It accounts for 5% of our decision-making. This means that our subconscious brain activity (deep within the brain) accounts for the majority of decisions, while the conscious slows us down to think about and rationalize.... mostly. How often did we rush to a decision, or said something impulsively to someone that we regretted? Yet, sometimes we stop and think, we avoid dangerous situations, or prevent harm to ourselves or others. But it is the emotional consumer that fascinates marketers. Costco counts on our impulses and instincts by the way it arranges the merchandise throughout its warehouse store. We enter with the intention to buy necessities, and we exit with an additional 75" Samsung 4K television, two bottles of fine wine (yes, they sell that too), and a 500+ Lego set for the kids. For those of you who are Amazon (or Amazon Prime) members, log in and pretend to shop for the 5 most important people in your life. If you're not a member, pretend to be shopping there regardless (I bet you'll end up registering!). What items have you looked at? What products or brands drew your attention? Why? Have customer reviews affected your shopping? Do the products/brands have picture galleries and videos? Has one or more product led you to research more about it on Google or YouTube? In the end, which items ended up as your final choices in the shopping cart? Answer theses questions after spending some time online. Then, share your thoughts with at least one classmate. When looking back at how you've gone through the browsing, the reading, the shopping, and the motions, what can you tell about yourself as a shopper?
