Find an example of propaganda (Google Image Search a great place to start). It can be from any country or any time period, the only restraint is that it cannot be an image we already discussed in the lecture and it can't be Uncle Sam - I'm tired of people choosing that one. Write a two page paper analyzing it, just as I did in the lecture. Justify why it meets the definition of propaganda I provided and explain how it works. Is it successful? Why or why not? Be careful when you are searching for examples. Sometimes people mistake satire for propaganda. You do not need to use the Toulmin Model for this. Please include a pic of the image you are analyzing. You can upload your assignment as a word document or a PDF. this is for position 4 .. For this assignment you get to pick one of the options below. You cannot pick something you used for the previous paper. The greatest musician/band of all time is... The greatest book of all time is... Should college be free? Should the U.S. abolish the electoral college? Structure: Use the Narrative Toulmin model discussed in this week's lecture. A copy of it can be found in the Modules section. Must be at least 1 full page in length. You need three sources of information (i.e. 3 grounds) to support your argument. Rather than picking several reasons to vote for or against the propositions just pick one (1 warrant) and develop it. Develop a content outline for my media project plan for the release of my book an autobiography by thoroughly researching your topic and then compiling the research into a formal outline. Use the templates that are attached. This should be for my autobiography book - this will be short clips or a short 7 minute film that can be cut u pin clips that shows different parts of my writing but visually (for example, taking the train to school, looking at a conversation through my lens etc). This outline and treatment should contain a 2 day shooting plan. When you have your outline complete, develop the treatment, which is a basic narrative of what your media project will look like as you currently envision it. The treatment should be written in third person and present tense, while employing a simple descriptive style. You may want to use snippets of dialogue to illustrate the tone of the piece, but do not use technical jargon to describe shots, transitions or scene information. The treatment should easily be understood by the client for approval.
My topic is Wind energy vs deep sea mining, focusing on these 3 criteria : Economic viability, environmental impacts, reliability. these are the requirements: Recommendation Report Your completed recommendation report should follow the format in Chapter 8 of The Pocket Book of Technical Writing and should include all front matter: (1) Originality Report Memo, (2) Transmittal Memo, (3) Title Page, (4) Abstract, (5) Table of Contents, and (6) List of Tables and Figures. It should be paginated correctly. The Recommendation Report must include at least one figure or table to receive a passing grade. Students aspiring to an A grade for the Recommendation Report must have at least one table or figure for each Data subsection within each of the three Criteria. Remember that it is better to explain material graphically or in tables than to merely write paragraphs. Include an Originality Report Memo at the beginning of your Recommendation Report addressed to your instructor. See page 275 in Finkelstein for the appropriate memo format. Your memo should address the flagged items in the Draft Recommendation Report Turnitin report: Describe each flagged item. Some material in your proposal will be similar to materials turned in by other students. Determine whether the flagged items are coincidentally similar because everyone writes the same document. If so, state that in your memo. If the similarities are not coincidental, why were the items flagged? Are they direct quotes? If so, are the statements in quotation marks, and do they include a parenthetical citation? Describe how you fixed these problems before you turned in your final version. If the similarities are not coincidental but are not direct quotes, why were they flagged? Did you paraphrase or summarize from a source but used the same language? Describe these instances and how you fixed them before you turned in your final version. You will also be required to turn your Recommendation Report into a Slide Show Presentation, Magazine Article, and Poster. All citations in the IEEE format. The file annotated bibliography is a list of some sources that could be used and the file week 7 is the format to follow in the essay. You don't have to use all the sources I mentioned there you are also able to find your own sources from databases of your choice and note that: Students aspiring to an A grade for the Recommendation Report must have at least one table or figure for each Data subsection within each of the three Criteria. The last file for criteria is an example of the expected result but it isn't completee
