Once again choose one of the policy statements delineated by the American College of Healthcare Executives. Choose one of the policy points which you feel an economic evaluation could support. Afterwards, identify an actual complete economic evaluation in the scientific literature from PubMed (cost-minimization, cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, or cost-benefit) which aligns with the topic you have chosen. Your first paragraph should discuss the types of cost that are included. Within this paragraph denote if they are direct medical cost, direct nonmedical costs, indirect costs, or intangible costs. Within this paragraph you should talk about the perspective tht the study you are reading from PubMed adopts and talk about how the costs would be different if a societal perspective were adopted. In the next paragraph, discuss which strategy being presented is the most effective. In this paragraph also state which type of economic evaluation (cost-minimization, cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, or cost-benefit) is being utilized. Also, you should identify the perspective of the study you have found and discuss how the findings would differ if a societal perspective were adopted. In the third paragaraph discuss which alternative is most cost effective while discussing the difference between effectiveness and cost-effectiveness. In the final paragraph talk about how well you feel the study addressess two of the CHEERS criteria and point out which section of the article you refer to for this (you may choose any criteria aside from the first three).
