NO AI AT ALL Purpose: Remember that descriptive statistics are used to describe the variables in a study. They provide simple graphical and numerical summaries about our data. Inferential statistics are used to determine whether the results from sample data can be generalized, or applied, to the entire population. We use probability to reach conclusions about the population using sample data.
