My topic is Wind energy vs deep sea mining, focusing on these 3 criteria : Economic viability, environmental impacts, reliability. these are the requirements: Recommendation Report Your completed recommendation report should follow the format in Chapter 8 of The Pocket Book of Technical Writing and should include all front matter: (1) Originality Report Memo, (2) Transmittal Memo, (3) Title Page, (4) Abstract, (5) Table of Contents, and (6) List of Tables and Figures. It should be paginated correctly. The Recommendation Report must include at least one figure or table to receive a passing grade. Students aspiring to an A grade for the Recommendation Report must have at least one table or figure for each Data subsection within each of the three Criteria. Remember that it is better to explain material graphically or in tables than to merely write paragraphs. Include an Originality Report Memo at the beginning of your Recommendation Report addressed to your instructor. See page 275 in Finkelstein for the appropriate memo format. Your memo should address the flagged items in the Draft Recommendation Report Turnitin report: Describe each flagged item. Some material in your proposal will be similar to materials turned in by other students. Determine whether the flagged items are coincidentally similar because everyone writes the same document. If so, state that in your memo. If the similarities are not coincidental, why were the items flagged? Are they direct quotes? If so, are the statements in quotation marks, and do they include a parenthetical citation? Describe how you fixed these problems before you turned in your final version. If the similarities are not coincidental but are not direct quotes, why were they flagged? Did you paraphrase or summarize from a source but used the same language? Describe these instances and how you fixed them before you turned in your final version. You will also be required to turn your Recommendation Report into a Slide Show Presentation, Magazine Article, and Poster. All citations in the IEEE format.
