Instructions Health Promotion Presentation: Teaching Plan Overview: This course examines health promotion across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Emphasis is placed upon health and environmental patterns that promote or interfere with health attainment and risk reduction in the identified populations. The role of the nurse is multifaceted and includes a significant amount of client teaching. This assignment allows students to develop a teaching plan promoting health and wellness for specific populations and age groups. Each individual will create a PowerPoint presentation, or poster presentation that contains the elements listed below. Presentations must be submitted on the due date and time. See course calendar/schedule for submission date and time. Assignment requirements and a rubric are attached as a PDF with this assignment. Include the topic, the date, and your name. Address all components of the rubric, including the background, model for health behavior change, teaching plan, and references. Contain a conclusion/summary slide to wrap up the presentation. Be written in accordance with APA guidelines. Be professional and visually appealing. Select the appropriate background, coloring, and fonts. Pictures, charts, or other visuals as appropriate for a professional presentation should be included. Be submitted in D2L .pptx, .pdf, or .docx file in APA format.
