Instructions; For this blog I would like you to think about the challenges women face in politics. Hillary Clinton was the first woman to be nominated by a major party for the presidency and Kamala Harris is the first woman to win the Vice Presidency. Why do you think it's taken so long for a major party to have a woman run for president? With all the women running for the Democratic Party ticket in 2020- how did it still end up with a man at the top of the ticket? Why do you think there's never been a woman for either president or VP on the Republican ticket? What are the obstacles or challenges women face in politics? Why do you think they still face these issues? What do you think could be done about it? Do you think we will have a female president anytime soon? Please do not make this blog about YOUR personal politics, but rather write about women in politics in general and the challenges they face and why you think that happens and what could be done and why it's important to have women represented in political decisions.
