Information for Checkpoint #2: Based on the hierarchy you built for Checkpoint #1, you will need to tie in external market data next to build a compensation structure/s for your client. You will do this in 2 steps: Based on our discussion on performance appraisals, how will you tie pay to performance? Essentially, what I am asking is for you to create your own performance appraisal form (from scratch) and how will you use that form to tie pay and performance for the jobs you completed in Checkpoint #1. You only need to create one form for all ten jobs. You don't need to create ten individual forms. You will then need to benchmark your data from Checkpoint #1 with outside resources. For each job in Checkpoint #1, you will need to find 2 outside resources to benchmark your jobs. One of them should be the Bureau of Labor Statistics (bls.gov). The other is your choice. Take each of your jobs and compare them to similar jobs found in these websites and determine if your analysis from Checkpoint #1 (at market, above market, or below market) is still applicable? Would you change anything based on your new research? If so, how would you change it? This Checkpoint will be graded (50 points). Once you have submitted this Checkpoint, I will offer you feedback on how you can improve it moving forward to the final submission of the Project, which will be worth 50 points as well. You are free to use any style of writing and there is no word limit/maximum. Just make sure you answer both questions asked. Your textbook is a good guide for you on how to answer these questions as well.
