In this assignment, you will follow the given tutorials to develop a web service with a number of operations and different types of applications to consume (test) your own web service and other web services. The detail of the assignment is given in the following documents: I will include them, and for the peer grading one. Evaluation & Grading Late submission deduction policy: Grace period (Sunday): No penalty for late submissions that are received within 24 hours of the given due date. 10% grade deduction for every day after the first 24 hours of the grace period (from Monday through Tuesday!) Grade will be automatically deducted, and peer grader does not need to calculate the penalty. No submission will be allowed after Tuesday midnight. The submission link will be disabled at 11:59pm on Tuesday. You must make sure that you complete the submission before 11:59pm. If your file is big, it may take more than an hour to complete the submission! This assignment will be graded by peers. Each student will grade four other students’ assignments based on the following rubrics. Average will be used as the grade of the assignment. Each sub-question (programming tasks) has been assigned certain points. The programs will be graded in the following these steps: Questions 1, 2, and 3 Application and Service testing. You can test the services in Questions 1 and 2 and the Application in Question 3 together. 1. Run the services first. (1) If the services are in a different solution, open the solution and run the services project. Then, keep the service project running and the Web browser open. (2) If the services are in the same solution as the Web application (Question 3), open the solution and run the services project. Then, right-click the Service.svc file and choose View in Browser to open / run the service. 2. Run the application. If the Application is in the same Solution as the service, you can right-click the Application project and select: Set as Default Project. Then, use VS Menu to Run without Debugging. The default project will start. Now, you can use the Web application to test the service. Questions 4 and 5 Testing. The basic browser should be included in the extended browser. Thus, you just need to test Question 5. Simply start the Question 5 solution, test the required functions for Questions 2 and 4. In both cases (passing compilation and failed compilation), The peer reviewer will read the program and give points based on the points allocated to each sub-question, the readability of the code (organization of the code and comments), logic, inclusion of the required functions, and correctness of the implementations of each function. Please note that the peer reviewer will not debug the program to figure out how big or how small the error is. The program may lose 50% of the points for a small error such as missing a comma or a space, leading to compilation failure! The course TA/grader will check the peer reviewer's number of reviews and quality of the reviews. Missing reviews or unqualified reviews will lead to the peer reviewer's Assignment 1 grade to be deducted.
