I hope you enjoyed the video and the beautiful scenery from Yosemite. However, this assignment is not a Thoreau essay on nature. Is it possible that this video is about both the Congress (how a law is made) and who should make the law (Congress or California)? If so, then there is a federalism issue. Who should be responsible for paying for the education of kids (K-12)? Let's not forget that these kids live on federal land located in California. OK. There are kids (I was one a long time ago) who live on federal land (Dyess Air Force Base) attending Cooper High School. Remember, the AISD or a school district in California cannot tax the property of the federal government (see McCulloch v. Maryland).
