Human behavior theories are mostly created and applied based on an individual's life stage (infancy, childhood, adolescent, young adulthood, adulthood, or older adults). They are a good tool of assessment with clients and maybe even ourselves. They are however, theories. And theories are not 100% accurate. They do not always capture all of the possibilities of a specific life stage. Pick a specific life stage and look at yourself or someone you know well - When you look back at the theories in this course do you feel the theorists information resonates with what you have seen in real life? Yes or no? And why and how? Is there something a theorists missed for a specific stage? For example - are the theories inclusive of all races, ethnicities, genders, ability/disability, life circumstances (socio-economic, etc.)? Cite a specific example from the text or use a video to support your critique. Respond to at least 2 classmates. Citations should be in APA format. Also, leave any feedback you have for this course.
