For this Discussion your will need to do a bit of research in order to participate. One of the keys to success in our profession, actually, in most professions, is the ability to network. Networking is the process of interacting with other designers, vendors, product reps. etc. to exchange information and develop professional contacts. Through these contacts you are made aware of what is happening in the industry, as well as available positions and projects. One of the best ways to network; is to join Professional Associations. In the interior design community there are several to consider. For this Discussion I would like you to look up the (4) most known professional associations in our industry; ASID, IIDA, NEWH and NKBA.
