For the essay question portion of the final, prepare answers to 1, and choose EITHER 2 OR 3. Each answer should include at least 2 detailed examples which include the name of the object/site, artist, date, country, and a brief description (you do not need to be any more specific than details provided for images in text or on powerpoints). Your answer should reference information discussed in class and in the assigned readings. Make sure your example is relevant to the question AND relevant to the class (from Greek Roman, Early Jewish, Christian, Byzantine, Medieval, Islamic, Romanesque or Gothic). A list of possible arts to use will be posted. Each response should be approximately 750 words, posted here. (note that the text for this assignment is 286 words!) Choose 2 works that show the progression from naturalistic forms to more stylized forms—or the progression from very un-naturalistic forms to more naturalistic forms.
