Discussion This week, in preparation for your final session note project, you will choose one of the following prompt options. Make sure to respond to the peer to keep the conversation going. I want Option 1, use more than 150 words, reference Tarbox & Tarbox 2017, Chapter 6. Option 1: Take a look at this non-example from a session note. This was the entire note that was turned in by someone once. How would you rewrite this? Why? Feel free to create a narrative around this- obviously, you aren't really there but you will need some details to make this appropriate. "Mom discussed behavior this morning. He wanted my pen and took it. Worked on sitting and drawing. Met friend and played but then bit her later. He went to another room with another peer and played." Option 2: Include a short example (a paragraph or less) from a session note if you work in the field (abide by HIPAA regulations and do not include any identifiable information). Discuss what is great about it and what might need improvement. Option 3: If you have experience in a different healthcare field, discuss reasons why observable, measurable, and objective notes are important in that field as well as how patient outcomes may be impacted.
