Discussion 1: Design a better study! F24 This Discussion is related to your Chapter 1 (Salkind) material, and your CPP Chapter A Material. Discussion assignments are graded for both depth and accuracy. Your answers must be thoughtful, clear, and sufficient to answer the question posed. You will receive 3 points for your post, and 2 points for your reply. You must reply to AT LEAST one group member. DO NOT wait until the last minute to post. If you do, your group members will be unable to have sufficient time to reply to your post.  In your individual assignment this week, you wrote about a social media post you have seen recently. Now, I want you to share some of your answers with your peers. Step 1: Make a post in which you tell your group members the following information (this can be copy and pasted from your individual hw assignment responses; 1 point);  Where did you see the post? who created or made the post? Describe the post: what is the purpose of the post? what is the claim that the post is making? how do they make the claim they are making? Be sure to describe it with sufficient detail that the person reading this question could understand what the post was about. Do you believe the claims they are making? Why or why not? Do you think that the evidence they are presenting to support their claim is correlational or causal? How do you know? Step 2: Reply to a comment posted by a group member. In your reply state whether you agree or disagree with their assessment of the post they are describing. Do you believe the claims the post was making? Do you agree with their assessment of whether the claim is correlational or causal?
