Diplomatic Sector Profile In your sharable Sector Profile document, create another page to add a concept map for this unique sector. You may use the same format/template/map structure as you did in Modules 2, 3, and 4, or elect to reorganize if needed. You will submit the same URL as you did in Modules 2, 3, and 4. In modules 2-5, you will be exploring case studies from the Non-Profit/NGO, Public, Private, and Diplomatic sectors. Each case study dives deep into leadership activities, profiles and challenges unique to that sector.You will develop a leadership profile for each sector. A profile is a well-developed representation or collection of characteristics. In this case, you will develop a profile of leadership in each sector of Foreign Affairs Process 1. DRAW CONCLUSIONS ABOUT EACH SECTOR FROM ITS CASE STUDIES. As you explore the case study materials, take notes on key leadership topics and challenges: Observe how leaders work and interact in the various sectors Identify leadership characteristics and needs unique to each sector Explore your own additional resources to deepen your knowledge of the sector (keep track of what you find) Determine how leadership impacts each sector differently Link these observations to key topics from the modules. 2. DEVELOP A PROFILE FOCUSED ON LEADERSHIP FOR EACH SECTOR. Use your notes and case study resources to complete a Profile for each sector. Fill out a Sector Profile template (linked on the next page) to capture the unique leadership details and intricacies in each individual sector. This information and research will be used to develop your final project. Questions to consider as you move through the case studies: How are ethics and values applied specifically in the sector? Why are they necessary in this sector? What is unique about the environment for leaders? What leadership principles are applied in the sector? Using the case studies, explain how leaders build trust in this particular sector. Why is it building trust important here? What might happen without it? How do leaders create impact in this sector? What is unique about these elements in this particular sector? Input these conclusions into your Sector Profile. Note: These are YOUR observations and conclusions. There is no "correct" information to include in the Sector Profile. Apply your knowledge and perspective to analyze leadership in the sector, then develop what you determine are the valuable take-aways. 3. SUBMIT THE PROFILE FOR GRADING. Complete instructions for accessing and sharing the template can be found on the next page.
