Description Leadership styles vary, not only from person to person, but also by environment and situation. As you are learning, transformational leadership is not the only style that works. Additionally, many transformational leaders have traits that inspire and influence. Styles like charismatic and transactional often surface when defining an effective leader. All leaderships tyles have an effect on operations and when a team determines that transformation is necessary, it is critical to understand the impact of communication, power, behavior, influence and change. Initial Post Instructions Week 3, Discussion 2 will focus on the elements of an organization transforming by combining leadership styles and practice. Read Chapter 9 of your text and for your initial post, explain the four stages of the transformation process and the four behavior dimensions. Choose one of the behaviors that best fits your leadership style and provide an example of that behavior in practice. Secondary Posts Instructions For responses, consider your classmates initial posts and distinguish between leadership types. Include a famous leader or two that can be identified by your choices. Writing Requirements • In addition to one initial post, respond to at least two peers. • Initial Post Length: minimum of 350 words • Secondary Post Length: minimum of 200 words per post • Use APA format for in-text citations and list of references. • Must include at minimum 1 scholarly references that is not the textbook. Tips for Success At the start of our course, it is critical to focus on expectations listed. The minimum at the graduate level will earn an 80% score. An A represents complex analysis and demonstration of understanding. Courses are very fast paced and require strong time management skills. Finally, restating readings does not achieve the goal. Instead, you must include scholarly references to illustrate this next level of learning.
