Description In this short 3 page proposal, layout your concept for your final project. The proposal is worth 25 points. The idea here is that you will pick up a topical area relating to environmental science/sustainability and gather information about it. You can consider the Final individual project as the review of an environmental issue of concern and the proposal is the stepping stone that helps you to identify a topic and become familiar with it by researching the background, problems associated with the environmental issue of concern as well as possible improvements and recommendations to ameliorate the situation. In the final paper, you will further utilize this information to critically analyze the issue. In other words, the proposal will serve as a foundation for your final project. This final project would be similar to your group project. However, You will be working on it independently instead of working in a group and this will be a written submission instead of an oral presentation. So You can think of this proposal as an outline that helps you to get information that will help you to build the final project further down the line. You can pick up a topical area that we have discussed in class and comes under the purview of environmental science/sustainability. The topic should broadly relate to sustainability and should be of environmental concern. The topic should not be same as your group project. A list of topics is included at the end. General Expectations Create an outline or draft of your project. Feedback will be provided on your outline/draft that you will then use to make your final project. Quotations are not allowed in the proposal or final project. All information from sources must be rephrased in your own words. This is the expected layout for your draft proposal: page 1 / Title Page (4 points) Your Name(s) Project Title page 2/Body (16 points) At least 1 full page (Not including Title Page or Reference section) Must use in-text citations in APA format page 3/References (5 points) Start on new page after end of the body of the proposal or the second page APA format Include at least 3 references and they should be cited in the body of the paper. at least 1 of the references should be from peer reviewed journal article.
