PART A Submit to Brightspace: ??Website Strategy Outline (8 points) ??Link to your live website (12 points)Project Objective: Launch a professional website that reflects your personal brand and is fully optimized for SEO. Project Overview Plan and create a website using the FREE version of Wix.com. Take your time in selecting a website template that suits your style. You do not need to add your credit card to use the free templates on Wix. Create a website strategy by completing the outline in PART A of this assignment. START building the website and use the website to apply the SEO skills and conceptions discussed in class. Choose a template that has multiple pages (avoid one-page websites). Tweaking a few design elements is fine, however, if your graphic design skills are limited, you will want to avoid total page redesigns. The purpose of your website is to promote yourself or your agency while applying your digital marketing skills as you go. The content, as well as the design/look feel, must be consistent with your personal brand. You will draw on the branding workshop later in the course. Once complete, include your website URL as part of your LinkedIn profile, email signature, articles, blogs and other social media accounts. Optimize your website in PART B by adding additional pages and developing strategies for your website to be discoverable through SEO, AEO and GEO. Protect your privacy. Your website will be in the public domain. As such, you need to protect your privacy. Only share what you are comfortable sharing. You may choose to publish your full name, first name only or adapt a pseudonym – i.e., East Coast Digital Marketing Guru. Unless it’s a business site and important to your operation, Do NOT put your telephone number/address on your website (or uploaded resume). Ensure the work is professional. Ask yourself – would you want your boss/future employer to see this? Does this accurately and effectively represent my brand? 2) Create a Website Home Page Your website should reflect you as a digital marketer whether using your personal name or a pseudonym. Choose a Wix.com template that is easy to edit. Look for a template that has potential to add three additional pages. Minimum number of words for your homepage is 300. Highlight your value proposition/points of difference - what makes you unique.
