Once the organization determines that a change is necessary, leaders and managers utilize their resources to effect change throughout the organization. In many cases, modifications are made to the organization’s structures and systems, thus changing its basic operations. In this module, we will focus on the importance of structures and systems and how these systems and structures can be modified to increase the likelihood that change will permeate the organization. Learning Outcomes: Examine how formal organizational structures and systems can foster, impair, and facilitate the change process.
