Description Chapter Two Case: SWOT Your Job Read the case study in chapter 2 in ordrer to perform a personal SWOT analysis for your career plan, based on your current skills, talents, and knowledge. Be sure to focus on your personal career goals, including the functional business area in which you want to work and the potential industry you are targeting, such as health care, telecommunications, retail, or travel.After completing your personal SWOT analysis, answer the following questions in at least 250 words (total): 1. Take a look at the table of contents in this text, does this course eliminate any of your weaknesses or create new strengths? 2. Determine whether you can find new opportunities or mitigate threats based on the material we cover over the next several weeks. For example, project management is a key skill for any business professional who must run a team. Learning how to assign and track work status will be a key tool for any new business professional. Where would you place this great skill in your SWOT analysis? 3. Did it help eliminate any of your weaknesses? When you have finished this exercise, share your SWOT with those of your peers to see what kind of competition you will encounter when you enter the workforce. Your original response should follow APA formatting, and should include at least one (1) properly cited reference. After answering the questions above, be sure to reply to two classmates. Each reply should be at least 100 words in length. Criteria Exemplary Accomplished Developing Beginning Dimension 1: Original response to prompt 27 to 30 points The student appropriately and clearly responded to the discussion prompt with an exceptional amount of detail. 24 to 26.99 points The student appropriately responded to the discussion prompt with a sufficient amount of clarity and detail. 21 to 23.99 points The student responded to the discussion prompt with an average amount of clarity and detail. 0 to 20.99 points The student did not appropriately respond to the discussion prompt, and/or provided a below-average amount of clarity and detail. Dimension 2: Response to classmate 1 9 to 10 points The student’s first response to a classmate added noteworthy perspective and/or value to the discussion, and contained an exceptional amount of detail. 8 to 8.99 points The student’s first response to a classmate added sufficient perspective and/or value to the discussion, and contained a reasonable amount of detail. 7 to 7.99 points The student’s first response to a classmate added limited perspective and/or value to the discussion, and contained an average amount of detail. 0 to 6.99 points The student did not properly respond to their classmate, and did not add perspective or value to the discussion. The post contained a below average amount of detail. Dimension 3: Response to classmate 2 9 to 10 points The student’s second response to a classmate added noteworthy perspective and/or value to the discussion, and contained an exceptional amount of detail. 8 to 8.99 points The student’s second response to a classmate added sufficient perspective and/or value to the discussion, and contained a reasonable amount of detail. 7 to 7.99 points The student’s second response to a classmate added limited perspective and/or value to the discussion, and contained an average amount of detail. 0 to 6.99 points The student did not properly respond to their classmate, and did not add perspective or value to the discussion. The post contained a below average amount of detail. Dimension 4: APA Formatting and citation 9 to 10 points The student can use APA writing conventions to complete their original post. The responses contain a total of no more than two (2) APA, spelling, or grammatical errors. The post contains a relevant peer-reviewed citation. 8 to 8.99 points The student’s discussion contribution was above average in quality, and/or included 3-4 APA, spelling or grammatical errors. The post contains a peer-reviewed citation. 7 to 7.99 points The student’s discussion contribution was of average quality, and/or included 5-6 APA, spelling or grammatical errors. The post contains a citation that may or may not be peer-reviewed. 0 to 6.99 points The student’s discussion contribution was of poor quality and included more than six (6) APA, spelling or grammatical errors. The post is missing a citation or may include a citation that is irrelevant to their discussion board post.
