An employment contract is an agreement between an employee and an employer regarding the terms of employment. An employment contract can range from a simple handshake agreement (“The job is yours is you want it; can you start tomorrow?”) to a lengthy written contract filled with legalese. There are four primary types of employment contracts: At-Will Employment Contracts Written Employment Contracts Oral Employment Contracts Implied Oral Contracts FOR THIS DISCUSSION What type of contract do you have at your current place of work (or had at a prior place of work?)
