A paper regarding... It's really an easy question, don't let it scare you. I'll simplify: Part One "What is the strongest theory" Part Two "give an example of it in action." That said, use quotes and citations from the assigned readings, and make sure to write an academic essay. Respond to both parts, either in separate academic essays, or combined in one longer paper. Part One: We have looked at a number of ethical theories, central to these are Deontological Ethics (Kant), Teleological Ethics (J.S. Mill), Feminist Ethics, and Virtue Ethics (Aristotle); in addition, we have looked at several other theoretical orientations, the Stoics, St. Paul and St. Augustine, Postmodern theorists (S. Fish), Existential theorists (Camus, Sartre, Nietzsche), and Cosmopolitanism (K.A. Appiah): of the above, what do you think is the strongest theoretical orientation? Make sure to examine WHY you think your chosen theory is the strongest, and in doing so, make sure to include specific references to other theories that expose the weaknesses you see there. I am looking for you to display command of at least the “big three” theorists (Kant, Mill, Aristotle), as well as perhaps, some of the other material. Make sure to use references to back up your claims, including primary sources (use the text book and the readings I have given you throughout the semester). For example, if you chose Aristotle and Virtue Ethics as the best theory, examine what is weak about both Kant and Mill. If you feel that we need more than one theory, this is fine, however you will have to work to justify why.
