A 2-page (600 word count minimum) reflection paper You MUST turn in a reflection paper that is at minimum 2 pages long (~600 words although you may expand upon this word limit if you like) that explains your four characteristics and how you captured them in your Selfie Portrait. You will also be asked to reflect upon what you have learned about yourself, including assessing the relationship between your core characteristics, your life choices, and the actions you engage in. Finally, you’ll be asked to reflect on how your personality has led to certain consequences in your life, and whether all your core qualities still serve you. a. The Reflection Paper must be formatted as a .docx, .doc, or PDF b. The Reflection Paper MUST follow MLA formatting and address specific questions listed in the student template (see below). 1. Note that you are welcomed to write in the first person using the pronoun “I” 4. Your Reflection Paper should follow the prompted questions listed in the Student Paper Template: a. Introduction: Briefly explain the four characteristics you chose to focus on, and your assessment of the difficulty or ease of setting up the Selfie Portrait. Provide basic information about how long this assignment took, and what you learned about yourself throughout the process. b. Body Paragraph 1: Provide details about your first core characteristic. The discussion of your defining personality trait should include the following: 1. Explain why you chose the specific characteristic that you did 2. Provide a clear example from your own life that demonstrates how this chosen characteristic captures your true nature. (This section should be very specific and begin with “For example...”) 3. Explain how you translated this characteristic into visual form in your Selfie Portrait. c. Body Paragraph 2: Provide details about your second core characteristic. The discussion of your greatest desire should include the following: 1. Explain why you chose the specific characteristic that you did 2. Provide a clear example from your own life that demonstrates how this chosen characteristic captures your true nature. (This section should be very specific and begin with “For example...”) 3. Explain how you translated this characteristic into visual form in your Selfie Portrait. d. Body Paragraph 3: Provide details about your third core characteristic. The discussion of your most time-consuming behavior should include the following: 1. Explain why you chose the specific characteristic that you did 2. Provide a clear example from your own life that demonstrates how this chosen characteristic captures your true nature. (This section should be very specific and begin with “For example...”) 3. Explain how you translated this characteristic into visual form in your Selfie Portrait. e. Body Paragraph 4: Provide details about your fourth core characteristic. The discussion of your biggest limitation should include the following: 1. Explain why you chose the specific characteristic that you did 2. Provide a clear example from your own life that demonstrates how this chosen characteristic captures your true nature. (This section should be very specific and begin with “For example...”) 3. Explain how you translated this characteristic into visual form in your Selfie Portrait. f. Body Paragraph 5: What have you learned about yourself throughout this process? Explain here how your self-identified core characteristics, the decisions you have made in the past, and previous actions you have engaged in are all interconnected. In other words, how do your characteristics relate to who you are and where you are today? (i.e. why/how are you at Collin College, working the job you have, with the friends you have, overcoming current obstacles or experiencing current achievements) g. Conclusion: After this reflection, identify which aspects of yourself still serve you, and which do not. What characteristics of yourself help you be the person you want to be? Which ones help you achieve your goals? Conversely, what qualities would you like to change about yourself as a result of introspection and reflection? What changes could you make to help you be more aligned with future goals or the person you want to become?
